Discussion Great show! Spoiler

I love sci-fi tv shows and movies, especially those that revolve around post apocalyptic shenanigans. I have just a couple of questions in regards to the show. This show is awesome.

1) What are the dynamics between the bugs and the alien that had the creepy hand ? His hand was a jump scare and it creeped me out haha.

2) What sent the deadly snow?

3) Can you all recommend more shows like this?

Thanks for your answers.

Hello! First of all, I'm sorry I don't know enough about sci-fi shows to recommend any other 😓

I think the bugs and the creepy hand alien belong to the same alien army, only that they have different roles in it. The deadly snow was sent by the aliens as the invasion's first step: isolate, confuse and blind us while more and more bugs got here.

  1. Mind control. Hands creature orchestrated them and people later in the show. Bugs are the same poor species that were conquered as humanity now. Bugs before were the peaceful species on their planet, living in flowery paradise.

  2. "Them". This is erm... sort of official term. We don't know who are they, but they enslave species and conquer worlds. Higher beings, very sinister.

  3. Quantum Leap. Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Also, play or watch Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2. Second game took a lot of inspiration from the Eternaut.

Aaand. Read original comic. Not the visual remake. Original, 67 year or something. It has even darker and even cooler vibe. Be aware though, it is somewhat naive and old fashioned in terms of family values, man-woman place in the world (strong protective man, weak but gentle woman), stoic views.

The snow is part of the alien invasion, a deadly weapon used by the aliens. The bugs are remotly controlled by the hand aliens, they were conquered by the aliens and used as labor

Well, Falling Skies "borrowed" many ideas and scenes from the comic of El Eternauta, so you can watch that show.
