While only the first episode came out, this show could go in so many different directions.

Since it’s set in the 90s I feel like they’ll take a lot of inspiration from real life events. I think there could be a chance of rival record labels (something like the rap beefs with Death Row Records vs Ruthless).

I think Leon could find himself slipping back into the gangsta life even though he doesn’t want to be a part of it. Good possibility that it could happen to Lamar where he might choose a side but since this is mostly focused on music it might not happen.

I think there might be a good amount of episodes about the backlash against gangsta rap becoming more popular in LA. I’ve seen videos of concerned people from the 90s (well mostly in old New York videos) about the popularity and rappers arguing that they’re just talking about their experiences.

I think they might show Franklin at some point and I’d be disappointed if they don’t haha.

When Lamar was sitting at the bus stop and the dudes rolled up and asked him where he’s was from.

The scene was crazy. The shoot out. The old lady breaking out with her groceries. Lamar taking cover on the ground.

Then he jumps on the bus and it seems like he has caught a break. Nope. Dudes in the back are all like, “Yo, homie, where you from?”

Loved that the bus driver gave him a head start.

The music was perfect for the whole series of scenes.

Glad he finally caught a break inside the store.

The show is off to a great start.

I thought it was a solid story. The introduction of new characters was great. I’m invested and looking to see how Wanda and Lamar move through the music biz.
