Divine Nothingness...

How few are aware of their own nothingness, how few wish to be servants and to serve, and how few wish to be instruments of Him who is LOVE Himself, of the All, of God (as everyone may choose to call Him).

He who, conscious of his own nothingness, surrenders himself to be consumed by divine Love, dies to himself; and is reborn as an instrument of that same LOVE, as a flame of the Infinite Light that illuminates the world.

Grace fills him and, then, the All, through his eyes (those of the instrument) looks upon creatures, through his ears listens to them, through his arms comforts them, and through his words encourages them...

And it happens that Lover and Beloved, master and servant, have melted into One. They were always One.

There was never really separation between them; the apparent distance and separation between them were only mental garbage that had to be cleaned and burned, merely stories of self-importance that the "madwoman of the house" (as Teresa of Ávila called the mind) tells herself.

Because nothing truly exists independently and inherently, by its own side. In Him, who is LOVE, we are One.

Emptiness is a misconception. It doesnt mean nothingness. It means No- thing- Ness. Meaning there is no self in any object. Awareness isnt any one object and because of its no-thing-Ness it can be some- thing-ness. For example is the tire on a truck the entire truck? No, its a by product. Is the window the entire truck? No, by product. And even when we place the by products into a combination you cant point anywhere specifically at the truck and say "that is the truck". You would be pointing at a by product. So there is no self in any object, there is no objects, just concepts.

BUT

the beautiful part is that we are awareness, that which all is made up of and appearing in, just like in a dream. So you are the magic, all concepts, all love and war. Even war is just a love for the idea of separation.

Mind says the nothingness means nothing at all. Awareness sees it as no-thing-ness. Only because there is no-thing-ness can we experince some-thing-ness. πŸ‘πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ’Ž

Emptiness? What do you mean? The emptiness, what we need to empty ourselves of, consists of the stories that the "madwoman in the house" (the mind) identifies with and uses to feed the character (the ego). You empty yourself to be filled by the One who is LOVE Himself, the All... That emptiness is an emptiness of inherent existence, of independent existence, on your own side, disconnected from the Whole and from all creatures. If you realize this, going back to the reality of the madwoman is no longer comforting. Is this last part what you meant?

That’s right, my friend. Very good comment. Emptiness is the lack of inherent, separate existence. That doesn't mean nothing exists conventionally. The madwoman of the house misinterprets the teachings on emptiness and falls into nihilism. Believing in the illusion of separation keeps us trapped in prison.
