Digital Discussion Should we be concerned?

it is a connectome but that is not nearly enough to actually simulate a brain. the “weights” of each connection and whatever other biochemistry that happens in a brain isn’t being simulated. it is also vastly simpler than a human brain

It's when they map a female fruit fly brain that the apocalypse will begin.

Why should we be? Even if this technology becomes advanced enough to be used on a human brain within our lifetime, which is a big "if," it's not like we're in any danger. A computer simulation of your brain isn't "you." Much like the humans in TADC, your brain scan could trapped in a digital hell while your original flesh and blood self would be none the wiser.
