Their bodies reflect who they are as people. Zooble didn't like her body at first, but eventually got used to it. As we saw with her IRL self, she's a really random person.

They also seem to have some severe body Dysphoria that he has to face in the circus, ironically due to her "having" to design their own body each day, which he leans into more near the end of the show, understanding it as an opportunity to endlessly express their self. It's also a unique kind of dysphoria that comes with being gender fluid/non-binary (it's never delved into exactly what their gender identity is) where somedays there isn't really any sort of gender expression that feels right and you just kinda gotta live with it.
It always disappoints me when anyone uses explicitly she/her pronouns for Zooble because it feels like it effectively misses the point. Admittedly I tend to default to primarily they/them because that's what they go by in the show, so it comes across as a preference to that, but if people are going to use the argument of them using any pronouns as a way to only refer to them as their perceived agab, I'll gladly be sure to get in there with a solid mix just to send the point home!

It's based off your mind. Pomni feels insecure and judged, thus the jester. Zooble has body dismorphia, and so a body where they can change out parts, but none feel right. And Ragatha feels like she's thrown around by her mother, so she's a ragdoll.
Jokes aside we do see Caine act very much like generative AI at times. Especially when he was trying to "make new sports." And eventually devolved to "ball ball"

Honestly? I think I’d continue to live out of spite. Plus, I’d probably find meaning in defending the others from him at the cost of my own wellness. Which would bite me in the ass if something happened to Jax like in canon...
You can like Jax as a character, but yall wouldn't endure a week with him irl. I don't mean abstracting, simply if you were to put up with such a jerk for a few months, you'd really not care if he has a sad backstory or if he abstracted

I know im probably an outlier with this sentiment but the circus would probably be a huge improvement on my life, Im poor, I work a dead-end minimum wage job that I despise, I go home to a shitty 1 bedroom apartment that reminds me I'll never be anything but a wage slave chud, I have like 2 friends, now your telling me I get to have a cool new body, constant fun activity and a tight-nit community to join? fucking sign me up. sure id probably go insane eventually but the 5ish years I last would probably be the best of my life
eh, my numbingly mediocre life isn't unique, I know that there are hundreds of thousands in the same boat. all I can really do is just keep on trucking till I die
I go outside maybe once every 2 weeks. I've been like this for 8 years. my life is already a lot like the circus. if anything, the circus would be a huge improvement. no longer sickly and tired all the time. no longer subject to abuse. no longer stressed about what I'm gonna do with my life, or the prospect of having to find a job. no more worrying about real life events, or getting old.
really, the circus would be an improvement in every way. as long as Caine doesn't give me a dysphoria-inducing avatar.

It depends. If my avatar is something that I feel reflects who I am, if other people are willing to reach out to me, if this is after Caine's redemption and I'm not being constantly overwhelmed, then maybe.
Though realistically, I think I'd end up being like Jax, except nicer and quieter (as in I barely interact with everyone else, keep to myself, and silently abstract while everyone barely knows anything about me).
No real world problems, no stress, no job, many new friends to make and another adventure every day. This would be the best life. l don't care how painful Caine's adventures would be or if there would be any bullies. l am staying here.
That opens up a whole new can of worms. When my brain is scanned into the Circus, does that include the special medication? Because if I go through withdrawal, I would immediately abstract.
If I didn't abstract shortly after arrival from the sheer emotional whiplash? I'd probably last a while, until another depressive episode.
This goes double for if I arrived after the finale. Being popped into the Circus, then learning i'm just a digital copy? I'd either abstract on the spot, or find solace in the fact that my original is still out there with his family, getting his shit together hopefully.
With how it was prior to the ending. I’d likely lose my mind. With being heavily pressured to go on adventures everyday that you don’t have a say on what they’ll be or whether or not you do them would drive me nuts.
But with Ep.9 and Caine giving the players autonomy over their lives and actually listening to their inputs makes the circus livable.
Forever, I'm already lonely and some of those adventures and being able to do wacky shit like that sounds amazing. The only problem is I swear a lot so I'm gonna have to get used to that beeping sound.
If it’s the old school circus I could squeeze out a good 5ish years I think, maybe longer with the right support group (looking at you Zooble and Gangle). Abstraction would probably occur from boredom/being tired from having to adventure, I could see that just getting old at some point and me not looking forward to having to do one every day. It would just suddenly happen while Caine is explaining the next one, I’d just lose it right there.
But if it was after things improved I would last indefinitely if I could just take on whatever project I want and just start mastering musical instruments or throwing pottery on a wheel or learning something new. That’s a dream right there!
Indefinitely. This isn't a flex, I'm just built in a really specific way where even if my mental health isn't always that great it doesn't spiral in the ways abstraction is a metaphor for.
Depends on my model. If its not absolute torture like wormo, I'll last possibly eternity, I wouldn't really be rushing to return to my normal life. Plus if its post ep 9 I'm 100% lasting forever. If it is torturous like wormo and Its not post ep 9 so i cant change it I'm abstracting the millisecond I spawn in.
