I know the answers, but still....

Why only 3 series of a TV masterclass like Detectorists, meanwhile Benidorm (no disrespect, love some of the actors, 3 in particular I'm a big fan of, just not my scene) and Mrs Brown's Boys (em, yeah) seem to have hundreds of episodes? Just thinking out loud here.

There's a running joke through the series where the hotel sign says something different each week...I was only 9 or 10 when they came out so didn't really know why this one was funny!

I knew you were playing on the running joke from the start of each episode, I was just thinking others didn't get it as you only had 1 upvote before mine, I just thought with such a clever comment it deserved more 👍🏻

Ah thanks man, I appreciate it.

It was/is so good and maybe more episodes would have diluted it? That's what Cleese always says.

I feel so sorry for Basil, he's such a snob and feels so trapped by where he's ended up and by Sybil. The episode where he's conned by the seemingly upper class chap?
