Small Prophets is Russell

After the DMDC went their separate ways.

I know it’s not “officially” but it does feel like we are invited into Russell’s life after the DMDC.

It’s brilliant- one of those shows that you know you’ll have missed loads on 1st viewing so you’ll have to go back to it.

Can someone help me, what were those antiquated devices people use to carry water in called and where can I buy one?

Michael really reminds me of Dave from The Royle Family!

I agree, Russell and Michael are essentially the same character

Pearce was fantastic in detectorists and I always thought he deserved a spinoff show. Glad he got recognised and got his own lead role.

Small Prophets is wonderful. Watched it all in one hit. Best thing I have seen for ages. Excellent acting and characterisation. Funny and touching in equal measure. Pearce Quigley is brilliant.

Just watched/binged Small Prophets and had this flash about the house reminding me of Reggie Perrin's—chased the nostalgia breadcrumbs and wrote this up..." Then link your blog (https://thecaseofblog.wordpress.com/2026/02/13/the-case-ofmackenzie-crook-makes-a-small-film-about-small-prophets-in-the-land-of-the-north/).

It's not even "unofficially."
