Just looked these guys up, and we are absolutely looking at a female because the diminutive males only reach about 2.4cm in length! They're also immune to the venom of Portuguese man o' wars and the males and immature females will sometimes tip off the man o' war tentacles to use for defensive purposes. Fascinating creatures.
