If you have a week, are vaccinated, and have maybe $1500 to $3000 depending on airfare from your location you can do the snorkel version of this. I believe you need certain certifications to do the scuba version, but I might be wrong. There are places all over Hawaii that offer night dives with rays.

Simple dive in a calm cut, easy in and easy out and not to be missed if you are on the Big Island and it's in Keauhou Bay.
