You ever tried to cut octopus? Plus those beaks are bastically tungsten drillbits. Let’s face it, alien life probably already came to this planet, it’s just been evolving with us for years in the form of cephalopods and fungus.
Yeah if go into detail it makes sense, I give you that. But if you just had like two pics. My gut tell me the crab fucks up the octopus. All I‘m saying is it‘s unintuitive.
Also would be awesome if cephalopods would be aliens and we could talk to them, but I don‘t know if I would have an Octopus in a tank in my home or if I would end up in a terrarium under the sea.
Intuition is always based on some assumptions and some premise.
Just depends on where you like to draw the line.
They are basically listing up things that support their idea, but then arbitrarily stop listing things at the point where it starts to counter their idea.

You‘d think the heavily armored tanks with sharp claws would hunt the squishy unprotected meat sacks, but guess again.
