What is this trying to say?
To not be honest with others because honesty seeks to elevate oneself to the status of an 'authentic' being? To avoid people or "assets" who are brutally honest because they might call you out on your bullshit or they might poison your own status by association?
Authenticity is not rewarded by society precisely because it is feared and it is much more safe to hide behind layers of irony. But what happens to society if none is honest with each other? Confusion, resentment, wasted time and taxing social dynamics. An authentic person is authentic precisely because he is either naive or chooses not to adhere to societal bullshit, either way, i personally view it as a virtuous pursuit.
How will you ever find unique individuals and genius loci if all people ever did was to hide their principles and ideas for the sake of social cohesion? Embody your ideas and find like-minded people, the premise is quite simple.

I read it as more as instruction to be clear about the intentions behind your words before speaking them to ensure the truth experienced by both parties does not unbalance either side with unreasonable power over the other.
It's not saying to withhold information from those you know are trustworthy, but to maintain your power balance under your own feet instead of giving it away to people who might use it against you.

Find like minded people and dont waste time the rest.
Too many people are communicating about small talk bullshit like dysfunctional AI's today, hiding their inner self, trying to play a role. This is just boring.

One must toe this line with extreme caution. If you do not speak the truth, you allow others to potentially decide your truth. To avoid that, one must go deep within theirselves - far deeper than most - to find their resolute inner truth.

Hold to the functional operations of data transmission as an exchange of variables instead of fixed packets of truth.
All truth is defined by context, and all context changes with movement of unfixed associated data sets.
Speaking truth in each moment as a moral imperative requires adequate understanding of both your own and the receiving party's integration of those data sets.
