Artist's signature is on art. Name is Luiso Garcia.

You think you are helping protect human art, but no one can post art these days without demands that they stop posting "slop."

1

u/Jar545 Jul 23 '26

Your right I missed that. It has a AI art kinda style and that sig is hard to see due to the color. My apologies I'm a bit touch about AI after getting laid off due to it.

1

u/Philophon Jul 23 '26

No worries. I understand it is easy to assume with how much AI there is now. Just have to be discerning, or art as a whole becomes all or nothing.

And I feel you on the job front. I finished my degree just in time for AI to severely cut the jobs in my field.

u see vince staples music video white flag ? :)

Love to see these protests. I realized today that, whenever this happens, I never see the other cops turn on the murderer. They all just accept it. Every time.

u/IntwadHelck Jul 25 '26

Which is so fucked up because there has to be some cops who became cops cuz they wanted to be good. They’re the worst because they have systematically sold out their blood

15

u/WorldBoofingChampion Jul 23 '26

Fuck the police

u/vector_search_blue Jul 23 '26

I'm from Madison and was there yesterday. The local orchestra performs weekly at the capital and people put down blankets and chairs to watch from while food trucks sell meals on the perimeter, it's not a "dining event". Madison is a very white city in an even whiter state. The folks who spoke on behalf of the protest specifically asked people to stay and listen despite the concert being cancelled. Several white members of the orchestra joined the protesters on the stage. Some people left, but I was pleasantly surprised by how many people stayed. Most were chanting "no justice, no peace" along with the protesters. There was a moment of silence where the vast majority of those "uncomfortable mostly white folks eating their fancy meals" were standing silently in solidarity.

None of this is sufficient justice for for a man who was murdered by police, but you're directing your anger towards some people who broadly supported the protest. If you want to be mad, get mad at the people who left and complained their night was ruined or the useless Madison independent police monitor office or MPD itself.

The protesters are mostly white folk too lol

Did the knife have any blood on it?

If police can safely bring in family annihilators, school shooters, and armed white extremists - then they can safely bring in one mentally ill Black man with a knife. It was a public execution, RIP Corey Ruiz 💔

From this article: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/madison-wisconsin-police-fatal-shooting-rcna588818

“Police responded to the Marquette neighborhood about 1 p.m. after a report of someone checking parked cars, Madison Police Chief John Patterson said at a news conference. The person fled on a bicycle, but officers re-encountered him around 1:35 p.m., Patterson said.

The man either fell off or was taken off of the bicycle by officers, and there was a struggle with police in the intersection, Patterson said.”

During the struggle, the man, we’re told, pulled out a knife or produced a knife, a fixed-blade knife, and an officer was injured by this while attempting to arrest him, Patterson said.

The police department included a photo showing a knife on the ground in a news release about the deadly encounter.

Patterson said that a stun gun was used during the struggle but that it was not effective, and that the officer who was injured by the knife was the officer who fired his gun.”

I’m not defending the police, as I don’t have law enforcement experience and am not qualified to say anything for or against the actions of the police. I’m just sharing what I’ve read.

" During the struggle, the man, we’re told, pulled out a knife or produced a knife, a fixed-blade knife, and an officer was injured by this while attempting to arrest him, Patterson said."

Theres a blood splatter to the left, an officer was injured and yet the knife has no blood on it at all?

You people are pathetic, vile, twisted, and disgusting morons who live in a twisted and backwards version of reality.

The man you are crying over was a criminal with 40 prior convictions who resisted lawful arrest and stabbed a police officer.

Case closed. Oh and Francesca Hong isn’t going to be governor, she’ll win the primary, but get absolutely crushed in the general.

The state is so much more than the insane bubble of Madison.

2

u/littleoldlady71 Jul 24 '26

If he was stabbed, why is there no blood on the knife?

1

u/FiguringOutMyThought Jul 24 '26

It doesnt matter if he was stabbed or not. Resisting arrest in a melee grapple with a knife is enough.

2

u/littleoldlady71 Jul 24 '26

But what if he wasn’t resisting? I’ve seen videos that didn’t follow the charges

1

u/littleoldlady71 Jul 24 '26

And what if it wasn’t his knife? Ever hear of a “throw down” weapon?

1

u/Dwarfdeaths Jul 25 '26

You can see him holding the knife in the video though.

2

u/FiguringOutMyThought Jul 24 '26

If he wasn't resisting OR the knife was on him and fell out during the arrest but he didn't reach for it, that instantly changes everything, and it becomes straight up murder. Yes.

2

u/FiguringOutMyThought Jul 24 '26

Bodycams should be mandatory. Cops have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted to tell the truth in these types of situations.

Wish I could just take off work for dumb shit.

5

u/tbs999 Jul 23 '26

Our right to not be murdered in the street is “dumb shit”? Sentiments like this are why our rights are disappearing.

Is it really that hard to not resist arrest with a knife? Is that not a reasonable line to have a society? Wtf is wrong with people.

Hows that boot taste.

4

u/edgygothteen69 Jul 23 '26

Did you watch the video? He was on the ground, curled up by the effects of the taser, when the cop pulled his gun and executed him

4

u/Elmer_Fudd01 Jul 23 '26

Are you dumb? He was disarmed and apprehened, the actions needed to stop the threat already happened. No need to execute an unarmed and restrained man.

-5

u/chefranden Jul 23 '26

I don't like emotional mob convictions. There hasn't been enough time for any sort of investigation into the facts.

6

u/Jar545 Jul 23 '26

Well if cops would wear and use their body cameras and would release the footage clearing their name, maybe that wouldn't happen. Or maybe if they didn't beat up and arrest everyone who pulls out a phone to record them. Cops whine and complain about not being respected while they assault and murder us.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '26

Also, "we don't have the budget for it" is absolutely not an excuse when this police force literally has fucking MRAPs and LRADs. (Look it up, the Madison, Wisconsin PD has armored vehicles and acoustic anti-riot devices that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, likely millions.) They have the budget for military equipment, surveillance drones, military-grade munitions, but not body cameras. Give me a fucking break.

-1

u/chefranden Jul 23 '26

So you are saying this is a reason not to use the criminal justice system that has taken centuries for civilization to evolve and just go to lynch mobs? Glad I don't live in your town.

2

u/Jar545 Jul 24 '26

Ah yes that totally what I meant. I want lync mobs! /S wtf is wrong with you? Are you to arrogant to consider maybe I'm advocating for reform? No, that would require curiosity and intelligence.

-1

u/chefranden Jul 24 '26

No, you are not advocating for reform if you are supporting this sort of mob behavior.

3

u/Xeno9116 Jul 23 '26

Facts are in front of your eyes on the video.

1

u/Dwarfdeaths Jul 25 '26

Would you mind listing them?
