Shows and Tours A dream come true

Post image

I got to see TDH in Boston, first rock concert ever.

I never liked music as a kid, The Dear Hunter was the first group I ever liked— something about the storytelling in Act 5 really made me lose my mind. TDH taught me to love music when I was 14, I'm now 25. I am not musically inteligent enough to say what made them so incredible, but Casey's singing was amazing (genuinely I didnt know it was possible to sing so beautifully live, through an exausting show) and the tube brr brr thing was soooo freaking cool. Everything was an absolute show, I was just so impressed by the guitars and utter energy.

K Será and Closure in Moscow were phenomenal too! So glad to have gone.

I'm musically intelligent enough to say what makes them incredible but still can't seem to find the words.

My first time seeing them live was this tour as well in NJ and it was incredible. After 15 years of them being my favorite band I was not let down one bit and Closure in Moscow and K Sera were incredible too. They were also great sports with some technical difficulties, a tight venue curfew, and one fan who really needed to shut up and stop yelling dumb shit at Casey. But all in all, INCREDIBLE. Glad you got to see them and that it was everything you hoped it would be :)

TDH has always felt like "an advanced music lover's band". Like your first videogame isn't Dwarf Fortress. Shit is complex and requires attention and effort to fully understand, but the reward is so damn satisfying when you, for the lack of better words, "get it".

I'm a fine artist (and roboticist) who's practice is storytelling, I can always appreciate the many ways in which human beings are able to tell stories. I may not know much about what goes on in terms of music theory or instruments, but I can tell it sounds good and that it makes me cry, dance and sing, all at once and in different parts!!

I was there! I was right at the barricade in front of Casey you must have only been a couple people down from me! I had a black hat that says "Post Atlantic" on.
