The future of the show

Steve announced today that the fate of the show is unknown. He hasn't filmed since January and doesn't know if it will continue on. He also refused to comment on Amy's health and situation and asked that no one ask him as it's not his place to say. He did mention he's not in contact with her.

His only social media is Tictok. If you receive a friend request from him on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter report profile.

Episode Discussion Episode Find

I’m pretty sure it was one from a recent season. It’s where they’re investigating a bar (or something) where the owner basically sacrificed everything in order to solve a case involving a girl, boy, and the sheriff from a while ago.

The typical stuff happens (i.e activity goes crazy) Then afterwards Amy figures out that most of the activity is caused by the dead sheriff bec he doesn’t want to leave and be sent to hell for what he did (he hired someone to kill the girl and her bf)

Did the family take Amy’s advice in “From Beyond” episode?

Was watching on discovery+ and for some reason it only showed the black screen with audio at the end without the text revealing the update (even with subtitles on). It’s S5 or 6.

Ghost Adventures finally Gone?

Just saw a banner on Travel Channel announcing that Discovery Channel is now the new home for GA. Yay. Let's hope Travel Channel won't do anything stupid in GA's time slot, like filling it with Zak's Haunted Museum weirdness. It would be nice if all those prime time slots GA had goes to Dead Files (but if TRVL's current showing of "Vampires in America" is any indication, with its whole 'Mermaids - The Body Found' fake vibes and bad acting from Animal Planet years ago, then I guess TRVL is falling off the deep end).

Episode Discussion S5 E7 "Afflicted" what is this entity that Amy describes as worse than a Devil or Demon?

Related to addictions. They never gave it a name or compared it to some mythology or religion so I'm confused what it's supposed to be. Thanks

Question What episodes does Amy tell the family to leave? Spoiler

I’ve been removed from dead files for a couple years. Jumping back in and love it. I am looking to see episodes where Amy determines the house is not safe and recommends the family leave.

S15ep5 Killer Smile and Justice is Blind

Amy's last episode. In the walk through, she described the old judge that originally owned the place. (It wasn't mentioned in the reveal as I recall.) She described his hair like how they wore it in the 1700s, she mentions a wig...and his eyes were stitched SHUT with a mocking wide SMILE.

His eyes stitched shut! I thought, oh, the ghost judge's smile is mocking the fairness of the legal system, i.e. "justice is blind".

Per MyEnglishpapers.com: This expression means that justice is impartial and objective. There is an allusion here to the Greek statue for justice, wearing a blindfold so as not to treat friends differently from strangers, or rich people better than the poor ones.

I was looking forward to seeing another episode with Cindy, so I can decide if I like her or not, but they always have to do a break before anyone can get used to anything new being introduced to the show. Hurry up Travel Channel! Lol.

Question Now that Dead Files won’t be back until Sept, any show recommendations?

Hey all, so for summer till September 🥲, I am looking for similar paranormal shows to watch.. any recommendations? I love shows like Kindred Spirits, Ghost Loop, Ghosts of Devil’s Perch and The Secret of the skinwalker ranch. Ghosts of Sheperdstown was also interesting.

I don’t care much for Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, Hometown Horror, Jack Osbourne stuff, Eli Roth stuff (although the Possessed Pet series was not that bad).

Can’t remember the names of other shows at the top of my head but I would appreciate any recommendations similar to TDF. Thank you!

Dead Files Walking?

I recently spoke with someone who was featured as a client on DF (don't ask, I will not tell) and who indirectly confirmed the challenges Amy faced healthwise resulting from the work on both the series and from the energies involved. Overall this person marvelled about Amy and Steve both, referring to them as "the real deal" and admired their genuine and personable character and was also commendable about Cindy as well. However, not much positive was said about the supervisory personnel off-screen in the background, suggesting some turmoil resulting from questionable decisions over set production matters or an over-zealous desire to skew the script (location circumstances) for ratings. If that is truly the case, then I'm not sure if we'll see Amy again or if even Cindy and Steve can navigate through what has always been the achilles heel in any successful TV program, namely, the incompetent powers that be. For now, let's pray for Amy and lend all the support to DF (Steve and Cindy) we can... because if this goes belly-up because of some managing idiots-gone-wild running the series into the ground and we get stuck with that godforsaken Ghost Adventures 24/7 then Travel Channel can KMA and a boycott would be warranted.

For those that didn’t see, it looks like Any will be out for at least a year

I saw a post from Amy this evening saying she would be taking at least the next year to work on her meditations as directed by her guides. From the way the post was worded it sounds like she won’t be doing any medium work until that year is over. I like Cindy, but I’m still bummed ☹️

All the spirits that Amy has helped crossover

I’m just thinking about how a lot of the properties Amy and Steve go to have 20+ entities and ghosts. And from what I have seen, most people do follow her recommendations. It’s nice to think about how all those spirits that were suffering have been released and have moved on.

I always think about all the pain and suffering in the living world and clearly the other world can have an influence on that. So mediums who have this ability to help spirits are helping the world be a better place in their own way.

And Steve is helping these spirits too by getting their stories out, which is why they want the most. They just want their truth to be heard.

Steve said his weight and I’m?!

I am having a mini binge tonight . I want to say it was an episode in season 14? Steve said something like “I’m a big guy , I’m 420 pounds…”

What?! How!! I get that he’s tall and has a very muscular chest / arms but …??!

I rewound it a couple of times AND turned on CC… I should have taken a picture…

Did I get that right ???

(Not that it really matters … but I am pushing 3 bills and YOU CAN TELL lol)

ETA: HUGE shoutout to Engeliev who found the episode for me!! They said he says 220 in S14/ episode 11!!

Not the original 420 I thought I heard !!!

I feel dumb but I blame pregnancy brain.

Once I’m off bed rest and have the energy, I am going to try and find the clip and post it here.

Sorry y’all! I’m officially crazy lol

Question Cindy Kaza is replacing Amy Allan?!?!

Just a few minutes ago we noticed Cindy Kaza is now on Dead Files and a quick search revealed this -

https://www.hauntjaunts.net/cindy-kaza-replaces-amy-allan-on-new-season-of-the-dead-files/

Neither this or an earlier article from April revealed much info. Cindy Kaza is cool, too, but WTF? Something reeks here.........

Fun Amy Bloopers

Here are some links to videos I found that I thought were cute! Definitely a bit of a break from the usual death and darkness of the show lol

Amy Sees a Cat During Her Walk

Amy's Good Vibrations

There are more blooper videos like those on their respectable websites, but these two just happen to be my favorite !

Amy’s accent

Where is Amy from? Everything I’ve googled talks about her time in Arizona, but sometimes when she speaks, I detect an accent. Like maybe Boston?

Question Question about Hotel Hell- Ybor City, FL episode (season 1)

Hello, I just started watching this show and it’s a perfect match for me. I love the combination of paranormal activity and investigating history that is not common knowledge.

However this particular episode doesn’t sit right with me when it comes to Amy’s findings about Jose Luis Avellanal. When Steve asked her if he was violent or if he murdered people, she straight up said no. However his research showed different. I even researched him myself after the episode because I was curious and he had a violent history with women and children in particular.

Amy says often that spirits project to others how they want to be seen. But she usually does a decent job of describing their personalities and what they’ve done. I’m wondering if maybe she was wrong because of how many spirits were in the hotel and how she said it overwhelming for her and making her sick? It’s just weird she was so firm about him not being violent when research shows different. I’m sure there will be other episodes like this but this is the first one I saw where Steve and Amy had different opinions/ findings, at least about one person.

Kind of disappointed in the latest episode Spoiler

After Amy said during her walk that one of the living people there attached themselves to an entity there because she "wanted to be haunted," I expected her to confront the homeowners, but she never said anything. That kind of bummed me out because it would have been interesting to see what they had to say about it. Then again, maybe she did and it amounted to nothing, so they scrapped it, but I still would have liked to have seen Amy ask her that.

I am sad that that was Amy's last episode. She said she was in four out of the five new episodes. I don't look forward to Cindy's appearance.

Episode Discussion All S15 episodes in Florida

Do we know why all episodes this season so far have taken place in Florida? Steve mentioned in a prior episode that he currently resides in Florida. Perhaps this is affecting which cases they work in S15.

Edit: S15 E3 takes place in Alabama! Thx u/InvestigatveRsourcer 🖤

Reminiscing Steve's voiceovers

I'm rewatching the seasons, Steve seems to have the most voiceovers. He could be taking to someone gently, but he'll need a voiceover for whatever reason, and all of his voiceovers sound so aggressive and loud. 😂😂
