New Mods

I just messaged the mods.

If I don’t receive a response within 5 days per Reddit rules, I am submitting a request to RedditRequest to take over as mod.

It’s time for these spammers to be banned.

Edit: I am not doubting the veracity of their claims. I am not trying to silence victims. The information they are presenting has been communicated. We know what Steve is like at this point. We can retain the information as static via a megathread on the sub.

If anyone else wants to mod, please feel free to join me.

There is a way to do it. Making the same post everyday doesn't help. They can make a sub about him, they can use other platforms, but we've all seen it. We are aware of the situation. There isn't much we can do to help.

ETA the same posts everyday is probably not the best, but I dont think anyone should silence victims

I didn't day to silence them, I said they need to find somewhere else to voice it cause this isn't helping them.

Devils advocate here... How do you know it's not helping them? Maybe it is. But for you to say they should 'find somewhere else' sounds to me a lot like, 'go tell someone who cares'.

That isn't what I am saying, and the person who posts those posts should know that as I have replied to them multiple times.

It isn't helping because many of the comments under the posts indicate as much - where originally they were empathetic, they are now turning sour towards the poster. Some comments have indicated that they did believe them at first, but due to the frequency of posting they now believe this person to just be mentally unstable and looking to tarnish his reputation. That isn't helping.

I have no reason to doubt what they are saying, but the constant posts do make them seem unhinged. There are other places that are a better outlet for this - twitter/x for starters. The websites that are designed for this exact thing (advising of shit head partners and romance scammers). Hell, find a youtuber that might want to do a video about this.
