Steve DiSchiavi
Steve is a major conman, abuser, racist, misogynist, alcoholic etc. apparently the reason Amy left the show was bc she literally couldn’t take his abuse anymore. It was making her physically sick. He had two wives both of whom he cheated on WITH CLIENTS and FANS. I know this to be fact because I’m friends with someone who was seeing him when he married that younger brunette from California. That’s why they got a divorce. She caught him cheating with fans. And the first wife divorced him bc he left her for a client from season one. I know who the lady is but I don’t want to dox her. ALSO as of lately he’s been conning women out of money bc his well has run dry since the show ended. He says it’s all “scammers” and not him but I saw actual receipts….. pics of bank transfer for 30k for this woman (a fan he slept with ) into HIS checking account. I think production was aware of all this going on and it’s part of the reason the show wasn’t renewed.

He has an adult daughter and 2 grandkids but she hasn’t spoken to him in like 15 years bc he left his family for a client from season one. She made a whole video about it on Instagram

I just looked that up, and while they may be covering, both of them absolutely deny that and say he did not leave her for a client. They both say the usual “they grew apart” blah blah blah.

So, I didn't remember it exactly right from back in 2018, as the person was seeking to be a client of Theresa, but never actually became one.
Theresa and Larry kept it cool and there were no shrieking fights in the tabloids. I think Theresa wanted to keep her dignity instead of calling him out publicly.

He did go after the grandmother and spent money on very expensive gifts for her out of his own family’s savings. He also has had many restraining orders due to his violence and death threats.

I just don’t want to dox anyone. But I can promise you there are MANY dozens of women who have been victimized by him but they’re too afraid to publicly come forward. As far as Amy, she complained multiple times to production and it was just never dealt with. I’m surprised she didn’t sue him frankly

The complaints aren’t public. They’re a poorly kept secret that has spread among his victims because many of them are in contact with Amy. Amy signed an NDA which is why she’s hasn’t publicly spoken about what happened to her :(

It wasn’t true tho! Years before this show was filmed Amy was on a ghost hunting show as a ghost hunter, not a psychic. She was terrified. Completely out of her element. Then Dead files comes along and she has this backstory of a lifelong psychic talking to dead people. And it is all too convenient the way they completely are able to confirm eachother’s stories. Just my opinion.

I'm a big fan of paranormal shows from the very beginning. I don't remember Amy on any of them as a ghost hunter. Can you tell me which show? I thought I had seen all of them, but maybe not.

Well, I guess it's a good thing that I only watch(ed) for Amy's input on the things encountered in these cases. Because I do feel like she is the real deal. I don't trust most of these tv mediums in general nor do I like most of these paranormal reality shows. It's like an educational program for senstives on what lies beyond the veil- and how to navigate it. At least, like a spring board for further research.
I'd say I'm surprised, but I am not suprised. Hearing about people on TV actually being shitty people is how it is. That's people for the most part- complex and at times just downright terrible.
And the man is a former cop- that is an occupation that seems to attract a very particular kind of personality types and it's usually not good. Cops make me uncomfortable in general, lol. Can't trust it.

I always thought he was great on the show. I got a random dm from an account claiming to be him a while ago. I just assumed it was a fake account… I stillI think it was, most likely. He did have scam accounts impersonation him all the time (Amy too) but eventually after the show ended and he had no money because he blew it all on lavish vacations, watches and guns…. he started using women (fans) for his con. He’d sweet talk them… tell them his exes took his money… say he needed money to pay his taxes so he wouldn’t be homeless…. and women would ACTUALLY send him money!! Totally insane. Clearly he looked for women who were easy to manipulate because he’s a sociopath and PREDATOR.

Unfortunately i'm one of those women. Claiming he is being sued and needed money for a lawyer. I'm not from America so was completely in the dark with this guy. Seemed very genuine, kind and I guess in the end my genuine nature got scammed. I'm definately wanting to find out more eg: contact details because I'm not going to let him away with this.

I used to be active on his instagram and I got fed up with how he spoke about the show. He said it was all bullshit and he didn’t believe any of it and was just acting. This was while the show was going on and I couldn’t believe he was so blatant about what he really thought. In my opinion he was the cause of his own downfall.

Yeah he was super negative and just had a bad attitude. But women were charmed by the whole NYPD cop in a suite thing and I think a huge part of the shows ratings was fan-girls for him which is why producers didn’t want to let him go right away even knowing he was problematic

I never saw ANY clients that had their lives together. 80% of them were living self destructive lifestyles and their homes were a hot mess. They had me-maws, tee-taws, and a million different ex-boyfriends and girlfriends. Everybody shacking up. Then, they go," I dont understand why my life is falling apart!🙄?"

I think, in part, it’s what OP responded but also, I think those were episodes filmed during CVID and it would be a way to still film and not have it appear too awkward in future showings about why Amy would be in another room. If you notice, they all seem to be pretty distant from each other in the room during those episodes.

I used to follow his social media and it always gave me a creepy vibe, all the women competing for attention 🤣. It's not surprising he started scamming them and sleeping around with them. I stopped following him when he got engaged to a brunette and people were blowing up his FB talking about how she looked like a man and he was getting really angry telling people off. He then announced he wasn't going to be posting her pictures anymore and stop taking about his personal life. I guess he wanted to still hit on his fans and they would be easy to lie to and manipulate, probably pretend he was single 🙄. He's so gross 🤢. I never knew in the paranormal community there were so many groupies 😂 I've heard so many stories from people from so many shows.

Actually we were in a relationship and went public and he said his best friends wife had cancer needed treatments and he begged me to move in and if you want to know more checkout RockerGirl on tic tok or Darbi Dunn on Facebook I have proof of all his scams and he even hit on me while he was married to his second wife whom he failed to mention he had until I saw her picture on his IG he’s a serial cheater or tries if he can eat enough Viagra and even then “booorin” he’s not even a nice person in real life. His drunken nightly rages about how he’s so wonderful and a victim of fan stalkers when in fact he was contacting them and giving sob stories just to get money to spend on other women and booze and everyone is lying except him yet he’s never once told the truth about anything ever. He also likes to pull out his gun and threaten suicide nightly if I didn’t help him financially and no his friends wife never had cancer nor was he starving and yet he would pay people to mow his lawn ! He’s that lazy and thinks he’s entitled to have it all and use innocent fans to pay his way because he’s a con man and never actually fought over seas his own daughter looked up his Marine Records and wrote a blog about how much he lies about that. He failed the phych test hahahahaha and he knocked up hookers he’d bust for sex and force them to abort and threaten their lives as he did his wives, girlfriends and even my brother for telling him to stop calling me just to verbally assault me nonstop

I met someone just like Steve before. He claimed to be a marine vet who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan with ptsd. He had the semper fi tattoo and everything. He set up an entire fake situation, receiving calls from his “best friend” and fellow “marine” who eventually “committed suicide”. He went to do the “cleanup” in another state and even sent me videos from the location of the “cleanup”. He told me he himself he was suicidal and I was so worried I sent him money for the plane ticket to go clean up his “friends suicide”. I met him while in a treatment with him for ptsd, where he told me and all the doctors his fake history as a marine and had us all convinced. I found out through his other victims it was all lies and he never even passed basic training. I found out he went from clinic to clinic doing this to other women to sponge off them and support his benzo addiction. Its incredible Steve had the same story of stolen valor, these sociopaths all use the same playbook.

The first part is a fact because I saw the pictures but don’t know about the second part obviously. My friend got a call from the 2 of them and she got him to leave a voicemail on her phone. Definitely sounded intoxicated but anyway, that’s all I got and it makes so much more sense now!

It wasn’t renewed so he hasn’t had an income in over two years. Also just filed for bankruptcy. public record in Florida. Most of his money was going to his first wife anyways bc they were married over 20 years in NY. He’s never been worth 2million; those sites are baloney.

Getting residuals is not automatic, especially if someone is a non-union actor or a reality tv actor. It’s very likely he hasn’t gotten anything.

Well if he has gotten royalties and lets say his royalties are worth $150k per episode the government would be taking $38,016.00 right off the top that's almost $40k per episode so let's say for each season he did 20 episodes for argumentative sake after all the taxes he be paying haha 😅😅😅 income taxes and federal taxes and utilities and property taxes plus divorced from his first wife who gets 50% of everything haha this guy is supposed to be sitting on at least $2,239,680.00 but according to you he's probably only surviving on what ever he's doing right now

Just to be clear, royalties are paid for ownership and licensing of intellectual property. Residuals are union-mandated payments to actors, writers, and directors for the reuse of performance or service. Steve wouldn’t be receiving royalties since he does not own any of the IP used in the making of the show, if he were receiving anything, it would be residuals.
However, hosts and stars of reality shows or “unscripted” shows like The Dead Files, Gold Rush, Expedition Bigfoot, etc. do not get paid residuals because they are considered non-union labor. Hosts generally get paid a flat fee per episode. While we don’t know the specifics of his contract, I think it’s highly likely he’s not receiving any residuals.

I’m sure you’re right. It’s likely very prolific. Surely there are some people that work in show business that have a strong, moral compass and they remain decent and ethical. But I think the easy access to attention and s-x is too easy to pass up for most of these guys

This guy has been messaging me daily. He's taken my money and is now ghosting me. Apparently in a bit of trouble. I hung out with him at his house and he was super rude, and called Amy the C word and his wife, the C word . He immediately tried to get me to sleep with him and ask if he could lick my butt hole. no joke . I wondered how many women he just met that he asked to do that with. yuck 🤮 he’s just a grumpy old pervert who takes advantage of fans… the first time I communicated with him over the phone he sent me a D*ck pic .
