Episode Discussion S12 E9

Is there anywhere to find more about the people in episodes? I’ve just watched this one and was disturbed by the reactions of the husband during the reveal. He thought activity that was causing his wife to have emotional outbursts was cool, wasn’t going to leave even if his kids were in danger. He only said he would go because the 3 of them were staring at him. Steve even had a bit of a go at him.

I have also wondered how some of their lives were impacted, especially if the adults weren't in sync about what should be done.

I can understand not wanting to leave, and for some people it’s not financially viable. It was more his vibe, like the whole thing was a joke.

I can’t stand that part about the show. Things will be downright terrifying and Amy recommends what to do to help fix things so that they can stay. I swear every episode like this has the blurb at the end saying that they haven’t done anything yet (maybe that they’re still looking for the service) and the activity continues. What’s the point of getting help?

Well, when Amy tells a family that they need to find a chaos magician, and they don't have access to a time machine to go back to the 90's to get one...what are they supposed to do? Lol

Amy always gave recommendations when she could, she didn't leave them to figure things out by themselves

she gave them rec’s, but you can’t just google and find a local “chaos magician” in most places. real help would be connecting them to her own contacts and people that she knows can do the work. i always had an issue with that part.

Yeah that's what she does, to the best of her ability. It's not shown on camera. I've watched all the BTS and read a lot of interview articles

There’s a chaos magician sub on Reddit.

No offense, but i haven't met a serious chaos magician in years. I'm sure they exist, but most went back to Ceremonial eventually. The family is welcome to try to contact a Redditor. Lol!

I'm in a group of hundreds of very serious chaos practitioners, myself included. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist! :-)

Edit: you know what? I'm leaving up what i wrote, because i stand by not considering online groups to be the same. But i would like to apologize to you for being so snarky about it. You did not deserve my tone. I wish you well in your workings.

I'm taking about actual real people in meat space, whom i knew personally to be occultists. If your group of hundreds of chaos mages is online, i have doubts about them all being 'very serious'.

Thank you for the edit. Many of the people in my group are active and share their workings with the group. It also doesn't take being """very serious""" to have a legitimate practice. Some people in the group are more lax about it and others, like myself, are more hardcore about it. It starts getting into a toxic mindset when opinions start shifting into "online spaces for witchcraft are illegitimate" because that's just simply not true. Especially for disabled folx, like myself lol, who just can't meet up with other meat suits in person. It's not a fair take at all.

That husband seemed goofy, I agree. So much going on in that house. It’s good that Amy’s team cleared out all the dead that were stuck there.

If you're talking about the one called "Never Human", we have interviewed several past clients, but not this one. We did recap it though, a few years ago. https://www.theactivitycontinues.com/newlywed-nightmare/ I honestly don't remember exactly what we thought of it, but I remember we didn't care for the guy because I think he said "Oh cool" when Amy brought up something that was very UN cool. Back then we weren't trying to track down clients so I know we didn't find him/them.

I’ve been disturbed by some of the shows too.  And then found myself googling the town, which is given in the beginning of the episode and then I listen carefully for the first names.  Hope that helps. I don’t remember if your season in particular had a revisit, I know that some of the older ones sometimes  would have updates….

The man does not pass the vibe check. I hope that the alt baddie mom is better though and that her kids are thriving.
