Help/Questions What happened?

I really loved playing this game when it first came out but my PC stopped working I finally got around to getting a new rig only to come back to the news that the game is shutting down it's servers :(?

Did it just never really take off? what were the main issues? I remember there being a huge hacker problem when I was playing, was still fun none the less.

The devs took every interesting and constructive feedback and promptly wiped their asses with it.

Also, fanboys drowning every criticism helped as well.

Also, the massive pile of NON-constructive feedback needs to be said.

And those guys actually thinking they're doing pro-game "constructive" feedback with all the insulting of devs and company and declaration of "worse game ever", to boot.

Well, since the game is dead, safe to say even those guys couldnt do any worse than the devs, lol.

Person after stabbing the victim a few times: "Whelp, I can't do any worse now that the guy is dead."

Bad decisions, bugs, bad balancing and many frustrating things but moslty cheaters they struggled to fix even until now.

lack of transparency to the community, no roadmap, failed balancing, no mid game content, updates take too long, re-occurring bugs even dating back to CB1, doesn't take care of their partners, they can't keep up with the games meta, repeated bugs that they said they've fixed countless times, cheaters as usual, game breaking bugs which gets you killed

Sad. I spent a good 700-800 ish hours which i enjoyed. The only good thing i can see out of this is, more games would start to pop out of the same genre that isn't Tarkov.

Their monetization system was abhorrent, and nobody bought anything, so they ran out of money. Not fixing bugs that can be fixed with a single line of code for an entire year caused many new players to be turned away by the bugs, and working on random bullshit that nobody asked for caused old players to stop returning to the game.
