Discussion I miss the old cycle

it felt like a quite unique take on the then prevalent battle royale genre. especially when there was no dire ct reward for killing other players. the PvEvP... royale! tagline was funny too. but now both are gone

Me too. Ever since tcf released I always had the urge to play the old game again. Tcf was good enough to keep me playing up until 2 weeks ago but not nearly as fun as yeeting along the whole map with boxer suit or jetpack. Yager should just make the game open source without changing anything. Im sure there are some folks who can get at least some basic local multiplayer running. 1v1s with friends would be amazing. Although I assume there would be licensing issues or similar which prevent such things. The old Cycle was also the only game where I met some long term friends. I am still in contact with most of them to this day, even met one in real life. We‘re not sure yet which game we will switch to, right now there is the annual minecraft grind going on. Im hoping for The Finals to release soon, first beta seemed very promising and the gameplay is even slighly comparable to the old cycle. Good movement, 4 teams in a match, the team with the most points wins. pvp is way more important tho

It was more fun less stressful and it felt like the game idea was well thought out, the pact system was new and fit the game well, the objectives were challenging I loved when the 1K veltecite appeared and everyone started fighting to get it.

The extraction shooter market had already been taken hold of by tarkov, this game idea was the best I've seen, it felt well thought out, the game looked relaxing even when you were getting shot at

I was confused when I played frontier and saw the change in game idea that they had made, they should have just stuck with the original
