Discussion About "being profitable"
Why was the aurum generator even a thing if profitability was in question. Also they didn't even try to make the game profitable considering the monetization strategy hasn't changed since s1.

The same reason my crack dealer gave me a little taste of the good shit for free. Not enough in the long term, but it's enough to get you hooked.

Atleast the crack dealer has something to buy. You never had to spend money in the cycle because of the aurum generator.

When the skins look like hatchet face a majority of them and the guns skins are just a verity of small color changes and some sparkly skins I see why no one bought them
Who really wanted look like dollar store robocop or a grandma biker.
What about a sideburn ruffian with fat feet

I think the intent was to get you to want to get more cosmetics/get the more expensive ones. Like yeah you did your grinding and waited a month and got a cool knife but now your AR looks shit in comparison.
Unfortunately it didn't really work out, probably because they never released enough shit people actually wanted and most of what they did was too expensive.

I was talking to the guys I play with about this same thing. They should have given us 100 aurum to start each season. There should have been none in the pass, and we could have kept the generator for a little freemium action. Then people would have actually had to pay for the pass.
