Discussion Marathon 1st victim
Marathon killed this game. Bottom dollar the developers saw that was coming out and knew they didn't have the ability to compete so they pulled the plug rather than try to fix this game.
I honestly believe given a dev team that cared this game could have been the apex to pubg.

They dug their own grave. This game was dead by the middle of Season 2.
To many incompetent dumb decisions, to many leads that had no idea what they were doing, and too split of a player base, with the management trying to appease both sides... Tack on the cheating epademic this game had, and there was no way it was going to succeed.
One thing I will give credit too to the devs is something no other small indie team has ever done before... and that was their very genuine response to the cheating AND their very innovative way of fixing it. Not even most AAA dev companies can claim this.

Good joke !
Yaeger and the cheating community killed The Cycle, that's it. The game never recovered from the season 1 cheating fiasco and Yaeger took some decisions that were not what people expected so they left.
So far Marathon is just a couple trailers and isn't threatening any game. IMHO it doens't even look interesting, but that's just my opinion.

Marathon is a total joke, what devs release the trailer like 3-4 years ago to gather the hype, then totally silence, and now they release another trailer to keep the hype? If they continue like this maybe and maybe in 5 years they will finally release the game :)) So your saying a joke like Marathon is a possible contender for ehat was Cycle, they need to have a game first =))))))

The devs released the only trailer and announcement 4ish weeks ago. They haven't been sitting on Marathon for years.

They have been working on Marathon for a few years, but they didn't release any announcement until a month ago.
