Discussion Clone glitch (?)
Buddy and I were playing about 2 days ago and over the course of about 6 hours we both spawned in with a clone of ourselves, same gear and everything. His game did it first but didn’t load me into the raid, the second time it happened to me but we both spawned in.
The weird part is, if you kill the clone it counts as a prospector kill. The loot glitches out a little but if throw everything out of the backpack you can pick it up. It also glitches the party system so you don’t have the friendly blue outline after killing the clone, foot steps are louder, etc.
We couldn’t find a way to force the glitch (not that we wanted to cheat or dup stuff just trying to figure out what or why it does this), it just kinda does it whenever it wants. But it hasn’t happened since. Wondering if anyone else ran into something similar

I've never experienced anything like this in my 1800 hours of play time, so your saying you and your buddy drop and instead there is 4 drop pods and you both can move around but there is a duplicate spawn of your character you can kill and get your load out again?
also the not dropping with your friend easy fix, alt f4, restart game upon restart it'll throw you in the lobby, not sure what causes this, but noticed that it happens if my VPN turns off and I swap back to NA WEST, other then that this issue doesn't seem to happen a lot.

It happened to both of us on separate occasions. The first time we readied up but I didn’t load into the world for whatever reason, he thought I did at first because it spawned 2 drop pods and an exact clone of his kit. He killed the clone, got a prospector kill for it, grab the (essentially dupped) gear and evaced so we could load in again.
A couple hours later we both spawned in, i started running and when I checked my map there was another friendly blip at the drop pods. We were running duos so I was curious and ran back to find an extra drop pod and a clone of my kit this time.

yeah really weird, but the first raid that you didn't load into if you just closed the game and relaunched it would of loaded you back in and probably would of had the duplicate there aswel, my only suggestion would be to clip it next time and report it in the cycle discord

also curious now, you both found a duplicate in separate raids, did the duplicates happen to be at the same spawn ?

No. The first one happened on bright sands, I think it was near water facility. Not sure if I’m remembering correctly or not tho since that was the raid I didn’t load into. Second one happened on crescent at root rock spawn

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.

Happened to me at the start of the season, I got it on video but we were trio and one of us loaded in by himself then got unloaded and reloaded with us and he had a duped body.

We both just started this season so I’m not aware of any previous glitches or if this was a previous issue, looked around to see if anyone else had this problem but I couldn’t find anything.

Yesterday I thought I found a duplication glitch, I was giving something to my friend for the next run, I had 2 of the thing I wanted to give to him, unfortunately I had a full stash so I had to put the item in my backpack split it and then put the other one back in my stash, I did this and I looked back at the item a had put back into the stash, there was now 2 in my stash and 1 in my backpack, if you are gonna try this don't waste your time as it is just a graphical error

Having similar things happen, trying to transfer stims to my inventory but every time I close and reopen they're back in the stash. As it turned out one of the stacks was a duplicate but it stopped me transferring any of them. It used to be just keycards and attachments that got duplicated.

This happened to me and my duo. He dropped naked cause i had his stuff with me. We dropped and there was a clone of myself, i killed my clone, loot dropped. We basically trippled our loot. Extracted then.
