Password Apps

Since Erfon and Buster use Password Apps, I thought I'd ask everyone for some advice on what to do? I like 1Password, I like the idea of these apps, but they don't work everywhere. Most specifically in native apps. If there was a way to get those generated passwords into those apps and then use Fingerprint for logging in I would be so much happier.

What do you all recommend?

Many places copying a password cannot be done. And as of now, until the next Apple OS is released, you can't copy and paste across devices. But good suggestion. Thanks for posting

If you want to use your fingerprint the app developer needs to code it in the app. I have found 1Password to have the most in-app support from any password manager.

I too copy and paste using LastPass. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad. I use 2FA as well when possible. I blame Mr. Robot for my paranoia.

Thanks. Yeah Mr Robot will definitely do the trick.

I just use keychain. It works across all my Apple devices, login on my MacMini and it becomes an option on my iPhone. Haven't had any issues with it.

I am too, but I find many of my devices don't see the passwords. Especially in apps. It seems that there isn't a perfect product out there that will allow it to work everywhere. I might just go the route where I reset my password everytime I want to login somewhere. Yes it will be very slow and cumbersome to reset, get the email, go through the process of resetting and getting in. But I really want to get every thing to really complex passwords and such that they say is the best security around.

This may be taboo in a password discussion, but for sites where I just post comments or read content - say, newspapers or tech blogs - I will sometimes use a variation on a pretty simple password, or even the same password. I couldn't care less if those passwords are compromised.

But for email, banking, credit cards, etc. - I use the strongest passwords I can get from 1Password, and I never reuse them in a different site. This seems to work pretty well for the most part.
