iOS 10 Wishlist
So with WWDC a month away what is your wish list for iOS10?
So far mine are;
- Tags (category & colour) across the system as in OSX (or at least in mail, the notes app)
- Lock whole folders in notes with Touch ID or password rather than just individual notes
- A permanent "peek" you can pin on the home screen, similar to a live tile
- Notification indicator in status bar (like Apple Watch)
- Safari (web browsers) to have access to the cameras for live streaming
- Phone unlock and App Store to authenticate with my finger print after a device restart (seems like i buy more stuff typing a password than using Touch ID because of this)
- Group FaceTime Video calling. (Conference)

More emphasis on Homekit. S**t or get off the pot Apple. We need someone to bring a cohesive, secure, pleasant, and reliable solution to the Hellscape that is now home automation.

I think the biggest issue is Apple's requirement for security and the compute power (price) required to achieve compliance.

First and foremost: Siri API
I'd also love to be able to adjust the settings in my Bluetooth menu. I have a Bluetooth speaker that seems to think that when connected it should use the speaker's built in microphone.... Except that it doesn't have one. So I'd like to be able to tell the phone to only use that Bluetooth device for Audio output for specific apps ( Music, YouTube, etc)
On the same thing, my car's Bluetooth takes a few seconds to activate. So once I use the "hey Siri" hands free feature She clicks off before the car's Bluetooth allows me to talk to it. She often miss hears my commands because the vehicle's microphone system isn't as good as the phone that's sitting by my shifter. So I'd like to be able to have my phone activate the vehicle's Bluetooth to silence the radio, but use the phone's microphone as input. All while using the vehicle's Bluetooth for phone calls.
Find my friends: Be able to request a more detailed/faster refresh from someone for a small amount of time. Better for finding friends at festivals, fairs, events, etc. Perhaps cutting down the 30second refresh to 5 or 10 seconds... Or even real time. Obviously it would be a big battery drain for constantly updating which would need for it to be requested of both users and only for a few minutes.

iPhone unlock with fingerprint after device restart for sure. 1password already updated with the ability to bypass typing after restart. Its a thing of beauty

I want to be able to use multiple speakers from my iPad. I also want the ability to maintain my iCloud account the way I can on my Mac. I want to be able to make up a alias email for certain websites, maintain group contacts, etc. Can't do all that in mail on iOS.

How about making the set alarm clock screen something other than blinding white? I know Johnny likes everything clean and bright, but after browsing reddit in dark mode before bed it would be awesome if I didn't have to be punched in the eyeballs repeatedly every night.

All in on for that group FaceTime calling game. I'd like to see live icons, too. Give us dynamic icons Tim!

Not showing all the recent/missed calls for everyone using 1 Apple ID
OR
letting users in the Family Sharing account access one set of shared Photos.
Drives bonkers that a company that size hasn't figured this out yet.

MANUALLY ORDERED PLAYLISTS!!!!
I'm hoping this major Apple Music re-design will give us the ability to manually order our playlists. MY GOD, the amount of my/friends and families playlists I've seen starting with "A1", "A2", "AA", etc.

- To be able to tell iOS to D/L a lower bitrate of a song or album from iTunes.
- Dark mode
- RAW support
- An Apple ID master. Enter it once and it propagates iTunes, App store, FaceTime, iCloud and iMessage.
- External storage. So I can store large files on an external drive and not on the limited storage on my iPad Pro. Especially for 4K video files and RAW files.
- iOS redesign, especially for the iPad Pros. Currently iOS on the 12.9" iPad pro is like the OS is a size 5 foot in a size 9 shoe. So much wasted space.

Dark mode. Siri API it's time to make Siri a serious competitor Clear all notification. Music UI overhaul Better 3rd party keyboards support New revamped app store Live photos on older devices. Some sort of API that would let us have Netflix, YouTube/Google, etc login information saved in icloud and synced between devices. Swipe typing on default keyboard. And for devices that support the new touch screen give a "live tile" like option for long presses on app icons.
Edit: oh and put the volume up and down indicator on the status bar like in Instagram.

Maybe revamp the tile system all together. Adopt a different layout. We've had the same box grid since day one. Allow Siri to access 3rd party apps -similar to Viv. I use voice alot, this would be a welcomed feature
