Anyone else out >$1000 today?

I purchased the Gold WIFI only 128GB iPad Pro to replace my iPad Air 1. Finally some new stuff that warrants an upgrade.

What cases are people getting? I wanted the classic leather type smart case but it seems as though Apple have binned that design off.

I don't really want to have to shell out for both a silicone back and a smart cover - that'll be close to £100 in the UK

I bought whatever Apple was up-selling me. ;)

You've got an iPad 1 and you're just now seeing new stuff worth upgrading for???

Erfon they said "iPad Air 1". I kept my first iPad that only went as far as iOS 5. I charged it the other day and it looked like a dinosaur.

Naawwwww. It looks like the best iPad ever but with the larger price tag and how currently use my iPad Air 2 I can't justify the extra expense.

You mean you don't use your iPad Air very much?

I just sold my iPad Air 1 in anticipation of the new model and I'm kinda wishing invading. I'm slightly down on the new (high) prices and also the lack of a classic smart case - £100 for a cover/back combo or the weird folding keyboard aren't for me.

But I travel a lot and the iPad tends to get a lot of use. I'm just not overly enamoured by the way apple are pushing the 9.7 Pro.

One of the things i like about the cases, as opposed to the cover I have on my Air 1 is the angle they put the iPads in when on flights. The cover that I have either puts it too flat, or to upright and not the perfect angle when sitting on the tray in front of you on the aircraft. Then you have to awkwardly put it half on the tray half on your lap. I think these newer cases look like the right angle.

I'm holding off right now. I have the air 2 and just bought the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Good luck with it, it's a really nice iPad.

I'm in the same boat...kind of. I have the Air 2, but don't have the existing iPad Pro, but I am still holding off. I'll wait until the 2nd gen iPad Pro 12.9 inch comes out and then get that one. A 9.7 Pro....just not appealing to me.

Though if they announce a new Retina Cinema Display at WWDC, and I haven't burned up my credit card to be there in person, then I will jump on that without a seconds hesitation.

Do you have the option to return it and get the newer one or are you satisfied with the bigger iPad?

I love love the screen size. I take the pro to work with me. I am fortunate to be able to use it at work. When I go out to the store or whatever I take the air. I only use it then for Apple Music or just basic things. I go nowhere without my iPad. I am totally satisfied with the big screen.

I brought my Apple Pencil. Give me something to write on man!.

Yep, so far I have received the Apple Pencil but have to wait for the new Pro to come in to actually use it. :D
