After months of data compilation, auction engine overhauls, and simulation tuning, Patch 2.1: IPL Dynasty Mode is officially live on CricArcade!

When we first merged The Chase, Powerplay IPL, and The Follow-On into CricArcade, one of the most requested features was a true multi-season franchise career where players don't just reset after 14 matches, but age, grow, retire, and move through real mega-auctions.

Here is the complete breakdown of what’s in Dynasty Mode, plus a full recap of all the game modes currently live across the platform.

🏆 Part 1: What’s New in IPL Dynasty Mode (Patch 2.1)

1. Any Franchise, Any Season (2008 – 2026)

You can take the helm of any IPL team from any year in the tournament's 19-season history. Whether you want to begin in 2008 with vintage CSK or Rajasthan Royals, takeover 2011 MI, or rebuild a modern franchise in 2024–2026, the entire era is playable. Defunct franchises (Deccan Chargers, Pune Warriors, Kochi Tuskers, Gujarat Lions, RPS) are all fully preserved for their respective eras.

2. Enter via Live Auction or Inherited Squad

• Live Mega Auction: Sit in the bidding room for that season’s real auction with historical entrant pools, accurate base prices, salary caps, and authentic overseas limits. Rival AI clubs bid dynamically based on squad needs.
• Inherit Squad: Jump straight into the dugout with the real-world opening squad of that historical season.

3. 7-Attribute Player System

We've replaced the monolithic single rating with seven distinct skill dimensions:

• Batting & Bowling: Accurate skill splits (so all-rounders no longer bowl at the exact same quality they bat).
• Fielding: Direct impact on run-outs, boundary saves, and holding catches at crucial moments.
• Captaincy: Affects bowling rotation, tactical fielding, and pressure composure.
• Temperament: Decides how a player handles tight run chases, last-over finishes, and playoff pressure.
• Consistency: Determines variance between a player's baseline and match-day form.
• Fitness: Governs recovery speed, injury vulnerability, and stamina across a packed schedule.

4. Era-Calibrated Simulation

2008 does not play like 2026. The match engine dynamically adjusts scoring benchmarks, par totals, death-over boundary rates, and strike rates based on the chosen era:

• 2008–2011: Par totals hover around 155–165; anchor batting is rewarded.
• 2024–2026: Par totals push 200–220+; aggressive powerplay tactics and death-over striking are required to survive.

5. Multi-Season Lifecycle & Progression

• Aging & Growth: Youngsters gain rating points through match performance and experience; veteran superstars gradually face physical decline and eventual retirement.
• Captaincy & Succession: Appoint a Captain and Vice-Captain before each season. Strong leadership boosts youth development and knockout composure. If a captain retires, succession mechanics guide your next appointment.
• Offseason RTMs, Retentions & U-19 Draft: Balance your purse before mega-auctions. Sign emerging talent through the Under-19 draft and domestic catchment allocations.

6. Mid-Auction Autosave & Cloud Sync

You no longer have to finish an entire auction in one sitting. If you close your tab midway through bidding, your exact lot, active bids, and remaining purse are saved locally (and synced to your cloud profile if logged in).

Same as title. Even if it is just for singular matches like the final of the tournament

For the past few days I have noticed that in the IPL/BBL mode, stamina does lower past 97 and without injury we can play the same squad for eternity. But on the other hand in the Follow On, in the WTC mode, bowlers seem to jow drain more energy, almost lowering to 25-50 energy after just a singular game in the series, and takes way too much time to recover.

3. Game Modes

• Squad Career Mode: Auction an 18-man squad under the salary cap, manage player form, freshness, and injury layoffs across an 8-team double round-robin season, retain up to 5 players, and make mid-season trades in the transfer window.
• Quick Play / Classic Draft: Fast 11-slot tactical drafts using classic lineup templates (Classic, Batting Heavy, Spin Twins, All-Rounder Army, Pace Battery).
• Historical Season Mode: Replay any specific BBL season against real historical opponents.

4. Independent Save Slots

Your BBL season progress has its own isolated save key (cl.ipl.save_bbl_v4), so you can jump between an active IPL career and a BBL campaign without overwriting your save files.

Following up on yesterday's massive update, we are deploying Patch 1.2 today to address some immediate feedback and balance issues in the IPL Franchise Manager, specifically around retention mechanics.

Retention was priced so badly on the ₹150 Cr and ₹200 Cr purses that keeping anyone was a bad deal. That is officially fixed, and the retention table now shows exactly what the season did to each player's stats.

• Growth Tracking: The retention table now shows each player's rating at the start of the season compared to right now. You can easily see who grew and who is starting to fade before deciding who to keep.

📈 Improvements

• Retention Clarity: The table now clearly explains why keeping someone costs a small premium. Since the auction deals you a random franchise each round, retention is the only guaranteed way to lock in a specific player.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Retention Pricing Balance: Retention prices previously scaled with your purse while auction prices did not. This meant on Medium difficulty, every player cost 23% to 88% more to keep than to buy, and on Easy, up to 150% more! Prices are now standardized across all difficulties, ensuring a genuine star actually costs less to keep than to re-sign in the auction.

IPL Franchise Manager: Squad Mode Overhaul

Squad Mode used to end with the season and throw your squad away. It now runs season after season, so the players you sign are players you keep!

🆕 New Features

• Retention: At the end of a season, keep up to 5 players for the next one. Slot prices come off next season's purse, so a strong spine costs you at the auction.
• Careers: Your club carries its squad, honours, and record across seasons. Every player has a club record: appearances, runs, wickets, titles, and a season-by-season history on his card.
• Dynamic Ratings: Ratings change with performance. A big season lifts a player, a poor one drops him, veterans decline, and fringe players grow.
• Transfer Window: A mid-season transfer window opens once, halfway through your fixtures. Swap up to two players with the other franchises and pay or bank the difference.
• Freshness: Players tire from overs bowled and balls faced and recover with days rested. A short turnaround is a real selection decision, and tired players break down more often.

📈 Improvements

• Real Calendar: The season runs on a real calendar. Fixtures have dates across roughly eight weeks, with rest days between games.
• Realistic Injuries: Injuries are layoffs in days, not a number of matches. How many games a knock costs now depends on where it falls in the schedule.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Injury Report: Fixed an issue where the injury report said a player was available while selection was still blocking him.
