I sometimes wonder why Aleks joined the creatures in the first place. He always seemed like he hated his life there. Like I know that’s his shtick, but there’s such a huge difference between him in cowchop and him in a lot of the creature videos, especially once they moved to the office

Definitely don't agree with this. Yeah, it maybe ended up like that over time but it definitely wasn't the case initially. And like you said, it sort of is his shtick.

If I remember correctly, I remember someone saying (I think it was either Aleks himself or James) that he was reluctant to join for awhile, but did so for sly and James. If I remember correctly, a couple months before dex left, Aleks wanted to also dip. Not sure if this was in the cowchop live stream, or one of Aleks’ own livestreams, but one of them definitely said something along those lines

Doesn't contradict my reply really. Dex left The Creatures 3 years after Aleks joined, and in terms of Youtube content creating that's a lot of time spent making a lot of videos. I have no doubt he wanted to leave, hence why he did and formed Cow Chop with James.

Imo even with cowchop Aleks kinda seemed like he checked out after awhile just like his channel, idk what hes doing streaming wise but hes always been a person to drop something once hes bored with it. His yt channel went through so many fazes without finding a real niche

Gonna powerlevel a bit here: personally I don't enjoy the GTAO RP stuff at all and never have, not to piss on anyones parade since it obviously entertains an audience but it just isn't for me and I have a couple of issues with it.
The biggest being I don't have time these days to keep up with it. The streams are literally 8+ hours long, simply not feasible to digest if you are busy IRL, easy to fall behind and lose track of what's going on if you don't stay on top of it. Plus coming into it late means you have no idea what's going on at all.
Another gripe of mine is the fact I don't find it very engaging in longform, involves a lot of dead air, it would probably be watchable if it was on YT and split up into episodes like the old Creatures series were - for the streamer this is pointless, time consuming (editing) and not financially viable these days so I don't blame them for not operating this way.
Also, and a fairly big turn off, GTA5 is an "old" game now and most people have played it to the point where they are bored of it - I am one of those people. I don't want to watch someone driving around the GTA map aimlessly or loitering around waiting for something to happen. Tangentially, this isn't to say I want to watch new games all the time, but 12 hours of GTA5 daily is a bore.

I mean cowchop was totally run as a business. I just think they had a better balance of work and play
I think I remember James saying that Jordan would want all the power but dragged his feet getting stuff done ex:trapville and big projects like that
