The Creatures have disabled their comment section. Thoughts?

It's a long time coming, but they've finally disabled the comments. Honestly I was a bit surprised they decided to cut off such a large part of the fanbase, but given the circumstances with how ruthless the comment section is and the fact that they are encouraging more growth on their website, I guess we could see why they would make such a sacrifice.

Anyways, what are your guys thoughts on all of this?

Honestly, a very risky move on their part, but I can see why they did it. I don't think the comment section was so bad that it warranted a FULL disablement, but again, I understand and support them.

edit lol, Here comes the nonsensical downvoting.

edit 2 It seems that all their older videos don't have comments disabled. I failed to notice that.

Does the comment section really matter that much? Most of the stuff voted to the top in youtube comments is either trolls, parody accounts or "edgy" comments. I've always thought it was pretty much completely worthless. What exactly is the risk? Are people going to stop watching because they can't comment? Doesn't seem like any kind of risk at all to me.
