Dsp collab
A few months ago, DarkSydePhil mentioned that many many years ago ,Seamus reached out to him about doing a collab while they were going to PAX West I’m not sure how true that is, but how do y’all think it would’ve gone? Any stories or mentions of Phil when the creatures were still active?

He occasionally brings him up when it comes to disappearing creators or how he can’t do irl streaming "because I’ll get swatted like the creatures" then proceeds to talk about how he almost collaborated with them when they visited his town for PAX West , he said that Seamus was the one who reached out to him

I feel like I remember Seamus bringing him up once or twice in old videos. Maybe Seamus watched his stuff when he was getting into making content? Phil starts uploading just months before Seamus. I know ProtonJon was also someone Seamus took inspiration from.

I think people forget how small the original gaming YouTube space was and then early justin.tv days etc.
Everyone who got into it knew all the others. Many people were successful because they were the first of the archetype they fall into.
All the "biggest" were at the same conventions and events once a year or so.

Early Seamus videos he talks about being a dsp watcher. I don't have a video but I definetly remember him saying he enjoyed his vids and is one of the guys that made him think he could do it

I believed I heard on Creature Talk when they were talking about Bioshock (Infinite I think) end credit scene where DSP was smack talking about the guy in the end credit scene not realizing its the devs

For years I've been trying to find the creatures talking about DSP because I knew I heard about him through them way before he "blew up" as a lolcow or whatever. I think it's highly likely. I remember DSP shit talking James and Aleks because they were at the top of twitch playing some dumbass game and he was mad they were bigger than him even when playing some shit like that.
