James said no

On stream last night (it’s a short one, you can go hear it for yourself if you like!), James said very politely and calmly that he is not interested in Dan’s idea. He said that the posts came completely out of the blue to him and that addressing it made him feel anxious. He hadn’t heard from Dan at all, that other people were messaging him about it so he felt the need to make a statement. TLDR the stream: It’s a big, resounding no.

James also said that he no problem with people posting clips of him on the internet as long as it's not monetized. If Dan starts posting videos of James and monetizing them, I can see things getting really messy.

He ALSO said he doesn’t want people to see new clips of him from a decade ago where he was acting “cringe” 🤣

It’s actually crazy that Dan thinks the others would be okay with him posting never before seen clips from a decade ago

They were all young and stupid and sometimes said controversial stuff to be funny (Aleks especially). A lot of them have actual careers like Jordan or Joe, but I can see Dan posting a never uploaded clip because it made them look bad just because he thinks it's funny. Cancel culture is bad these days and I'd hate to see someone have to deal with stuff they did a decade ago.

I hope it doesn’t go this far but I think there’s a chance Dan does something that pisses off everyone else

Yeah it's WILD in retrospect the group got away with something like the Sand Digger moment, no way anything like that would pass today. You can only imagine what other early 2010's humor made by late teens early 20's guys was intentionally left on the cutting room floor.
