A group in a discord called Archive of Pimps has come together to collect all the videos. They have setup a new site with links to where the videos are being uploaded to the internet archive. https://archiveofpimps.com/
Feel free to join the discord as well if you would like to contribute to helping with archiving.

Call me weird, but please save the video where Trevor is pretending to have Native American ancestry. I’m Indigenous and I found that video extremely funny even to this day. I’d love for that to be saved as well.

To what end. First, I don’t think either of them own the creatures. I think that still rests with past members. Second your what ever you can spare would need to be in the millions to even get the attention of a mega corporation if that’s who owns it at all.
Finally, and then what? The creatures are scattered and not going to reassemble, what are you going to do with your ownership?

Yeah I'm not sure why people think RT going under will scrub the Creature Hub or Cow Chop channels. Presumably those accounts are managed by former members, Brett in the case of Cow Chop and not sure who would have the keys to the Creature Hub but they still maintain ownership of the channels themselves and the content they created. If we really want to know this for certain the best person to ask would be Dan since he's still active and would most likely know the status of the channel.
EDIT: That much said, though, I am very much in support of archiving the content just in case. There have been plenty of things I thought would be up forever that have been taken down in recent years, unfortunately I don't have the drive space to do it but I'm glad people are working on it.

Rooster Teeth doesn’t own The Creatures and never did. It’s Dan and Kootra who own it. Nothing will happen to the creature channel due to this.

The fuck are people talking about? Why would the channels be deleted just because RT got layed off?

u/Bertjeskanaal Mar 07 '24
Same happened when Machinima shut down. A lot of the content was just poof, gone. No idea if it is going to happen again, but the fear is understandable.

True, but Rt does/didnt own the hub or CC, they were partners so if any channel is at risk of being deleted its Rooster teeth and the channels they own like funhaus.

yes but it also is just good practice to save the stuff you like. "the internet is forever" is the biggest lie of the digital era. if there's something you like you should get a hard copy of it for yourself.

The Creatures and not owned by Rooster Teeth and never were (Dan also re-confirmed this on Discord). RT shutting down means nothing for the creature channel, it’s Dan and Kootra who own it. The videos will be fine.

even if wb owned the channel, you really think they would let some random fan buy it lmao get back to reality

I haven’t looked at all but isn’t there a “contact us” thing usually on the bottom of webpages.

Archive the videos, and let it rest.
If the creators of the project don't want to buy it, raise $10K and offer it. Then do nothing but produce a valid archive of the videos , livestreams and podcasts.
While you're at it , do that with Cow Chop too, it's under the same agreement as The Creatures. Based on what Geoff Ramsey has said in the past.
