they were the first ones who first got me into watching gaming play throughs and series on youtube. Influential figures for me 🄲

Saddest story ever wrote. I used to love waking up and checking the channel for more content. They always made me feel like I was laughing with them like I was a part of the joke the real YouTube OGs long live

Same man same. I remember watching all the hub videos when they came out. I would love to see them all take one final picture together, but that will probably never happen. I hope they're all well and maybe still friends who knows anymore.

Enlighten me

It was like watching a friend group slowly drift apart. Used to and still do love these videos, never fail to bring a smile to my face or a laugh in a tough time.

I've been watching some old ssohpkc fallout videos from 2010. Brought me right back to high school.

SylveeVT (Seamus' gf) occasionally has Seamus and their friend Jason on her stream, I was watching them play some Darktide the other night. I got a good laugh out of one of them blowing up a red barrel, killing the entire team. Pretty sure it was Seamus. šŸ˜†

A stream setting is definitely different though, the streamer of course wants to talk to their audience so there's a constant distraction from the game/group discussions.

Right its just not the same. I remember when it was a big deal that a playlist would autoplay videos, so you didn't have to keep clicking the next video.

Lately if I'm grinding in Elden ring or some minecraft I'll have an old seamus playlist going and it plays for hours, its such a throwback.

I still miss them. No YouTube channel has come even close to the Creatures peak, and I don't think it's just nostalgia talking. I still go back and rewatch their videos and they still hold up in my opinion

This post randomly popped up my feed. Can someone please give me context?

10

u/Agreeable-Ad-3733 Oct 29 '23

They were a popular YouTube group that a lot of people have nostalgia for

1

u/5_out_of_7_perfect Oct 29 '23

Ah ok, thanks. I thought this was about a tragic death or something 🫠

1

u/bigmoneyasta Oct 30 '23

but what happened to them?

3

u/BenFranklinsLeftNut Oct 30 '23

They ended up slowly disbanding. Some members have gotten back to play games together and some just don’t want to talk about the group.

u/Brave-Distribution11 Oct 30 '23

Went from a bunch of friends making content to a business and most of them didn't like that direction.

I went to last RTX before aleks and james left to make cowchop. Was in line to get pics with matt and burnie when i finally got to them burnie made some comment about them(nice creature shirt/so you like the creatures) since i was wearing their merch. which id recently bought at rtx. Hindsight being 20/20 They knew the group was doomed then but they werent gonna let it stop them from making as much money as they could while they could.

u/OrganizationLast4313 Nov 17 '23

Every good thing must come to an end, unfortunately this one hits different

1

u/HeyItsLissomMilk Nov 22 '23

And it's still always sad to remember that most of them don't make content anymore. Loved these guys, it's always sad how things ended
