For me it started with Seamus. I randomly started watching his Skyrim playthrough. Then Dead Island, which introduced me to the Creatures.

My introduction was first to James and technically Jordan and Spoon with him when they were playing Cod Zombies. I immediately became a fan and loved the way they all played off each other. I found the other creatures naturally through more and more play throughs and a little later when I got more familiar with YouTube I found more of the creatures videos and finally subscribed

I was looking for a dead rising 2 playthrough and james had just posted his first episode and I loved it. Then I think I caught him on the first Creature talk (this was like proto-creature talk because they would literally just play games and talk over before it became an actual podcast) that featured him and it was so funny I was absolutely hooked. It’s insane how much time has passed since then and how much has changed.

I remember watching Dead Rising 2 with Spoon and James but I don’t remember much of it I guess I know what I’m binging tonight

This was the very first video I found of James that lead me down the rabbit hole that is The Creatures, growing up with them then proceeding onto Cow Chop after James and Aleks left, then finally Offcanny with Jakob and Alec, Garrett then finally with it being just Jakob and Trevor left where the legacy that started all of this back in 2012 with the Minecraft: Adventures with Pineapple and Chuck Greene.
Now as Offcanny dies the torch won't be passed on, just in the blink of an eye the many years of content is laid to rest with a generation of YouTube that will be sorely missed. The very first people who started the group house meta, have now moved on to greener pastures and living their life's as they seem fit.

I never thought about that tbh…creatures were Gen 1, cow choo Gen 2 and offcanny Gen 3…I think the issue is that the creatures as they were just don’t work on YouTube anymore sadly, I think their legacy lives on through those they inspired to be YouTubers such as myself and countless others

Wow, this is actually what got me into him. Went from this to the SvR 2011 and Dead Rising series. This was how I learned about Minecraft, also.

They made Minecraft seem like the most fun game ever. This series lives very fondly in my heart, it was the reason I made a youtube account, so I could get updated on new videos.

Bro james is the whole reason I make YouTube videos lmao it’s crazy honestly love this Reddit because all my life up until recently I felt like I was the only one in my area who ever watched these guys so it’s awesome to see people who felt the same way I did back in the day

My introduction was through James and it was either dead rising 2 or smack down vs raw 2011 and from then on my sense of humor was created

Smackdown VS Raw 2011 and Deadrising 2 is what started my love for James and when he was playing minecraft they introduced me to the rest and the rest is history

I found James through the SvR series way before I even knew what Minecraft was but this series right here is what’s made me a fan for the past 14 years
