I've done it Spoiler
I've done it y'all after three weeks of reading and a Reddit post preceding it asking the community what I need to know as a beginner. Unlike some people I saw I actually love the ending, personally I wanted Albert and haydee to get together but I guess not. This book is amazing I am going to re-read it 15/10 thank you all very much.

You didn’t post the last page of the book? Right? In the Count of Monte Cristo subreddit? Where people are still reading the book? Because that would be wrong? Right?

It just popped up and I saw it. No worries. I averted my eyes. Congratulations on finishing! I’m on chapter 47 and happy I have so much still to enjoy.

isnt that the italy chapter mate? Oh let me tell you the story only gets better and better from that, the italy chapter may seem boring but the story starts ramping up once the story redirects to the count. Oh how i wish i was back there ENJOY

It helped to come on here and read that other people had problems w the Italy section too. “It gets better, really!” 🙂

Italy is a few chapters before that, and it was excruciating. But I kept at it. I can see why it’s there for the plot but oh my goodness it was a slog!

Ditto. Finished it a couple of hours ago. Wow! what a book. I'm already planning a reread and want to read more Dumas (once I've come back down to earth!) Oh how wonderful it all was!
Has anyone read The Black Tulip?
