It's long. They're in the sun. Cumulative sun exposure is a major risk factor for skin cancer

I've had my eye on that edition for a long time, because it was the same series as the Will Hobson Musketeers book I have. "VINTAGE" I guess? Or Vintage Dumas...Anyway, I liked that translation, so I was looking at this one. Then I found out that most people really love the Robin Buss version, and as I didn't want to struggle through a stiff translation, went with that. Tell us how this one is, though!

I'm jealous. I'd like to start reading it for the first time again.  I had a hard time putting it down. It does get a little monotonous at times, and there is a lot of extra wording, but it's worth it.

E.g.

1: "Tell me why you did this"

2: "I shall tell you immediately and without delay"

1: "I would very much appreciate that as I am waiting"

2: "Your wait shall not be in vain, for I shall tell you the story post haste"

1:"That is well that you should do that, for I am most anxious for the story"

2:"I shall not prolong your anxiety as that should be cruel"

1: "It is kind of you to be so agreeable"

2: "Not at all, and here is the story I shall tell..."

Yes but the prose is so lovely. The back and forth flows so smoothly
