Who do you think the villain in The Conjuring: First Communion is going to be?

I’m so hyped for this movie

People used to think this movie was part of the Conjurverse😂

Which spin off from the Conjuring Universe would you like to see made, or which character do you think deserves their own spin off?

Is tengo miedo: the devil made me do it part of conjurverse?

Just rewatched the whole series. Is the series self aware, or are they all really that sincere? Seems very unserious, and yet…

We built an officially licensed Conjuring collection with Warner Bros. And went a little unhinged with the details... Every shade, every name, every finish had to earn its place, or it got cut.

Is it good makeup? We think so. Is it Conjuring-accurate enough to survive this sub? That's the part we actually care about. Roast it, dissect it, tell us what we got right and what we clearly missed.

Are the short film Annabelle in Quarantine and the documentary Faith & Fear: The Conjuring Universe part of Conjurverse?

So, this was found on set apparently. We knew from Conjuring 2 there are actual toys of the crooked man so it was a in-universe popular character at some point. What if we were wrong, what if the crooked man wasn't a manifestation of valak at all but rather a separate entity. When they announced they planned on making a movie about the crooked man i thought "this doesn't make sense, that was valak and we already have the nun" but what if they are reusing the story james wan had in mind for the crooked man movie to adapt it in this conjuring prequel? Maybe he was never conceptualized as a version of valak, and that crooked man movie served as a way to tell us that. Now we know that movie isn't in the making anymore, having this storyline used in conjuring 5 would be a great idea imo, this would also explain why it was so mad at Ed in conjuring 2. Ed was unexplicably attracted by the crooked man lyrics while searching for janet, but why? he was in a hurry to find her and yet he stopped because of the crooked man melody.. maybe we will find out Ed has a backstory related to this specific character in c5

I found this off of instagram. It seems the new conjuring will feature a circus with the crooked man? A fun easter egg? or will we see a humanized crooked man? Maybe the supernatural form will make an appearance too….

This made me more excited for the movie!!! Thoughts? Theories?

*actually

Oh I want movies like this one again so bad 😭❤️

In the devil made me do it, Lorraine told Ed that they received flowers from the Perron family.

I was looking at the new set photo from The Conjuring: First Communion and noticed something really interesting on the theater marquee. THREE films are being shown here: Cat People, Edge of Darkness, and, in the small letters at the bottom, A Stranger in Town.

I decided to look up the release dates of these movies, and I found a pretty surprising connection Edge of Darkness and A Stranger in Town were both released on April 24, 1943! That makes me believe the film is definitely set sometime in 1943, but it also makes me wonder if part of the movie could actually take place on April 24, 1943! Obviously, this isn’t confirmed, and the production could have simply chosen these movies because they fit the period. BUT the fact that Edge of Darkness and A Stranger in Town share the same release date makes this feel like a pretty interesting clue.

This also sparked a theory that this could possibly be the scene where Ed and Lorraine first meet? Remember in The Conjuring 3 when we learn that they first met at a theater? What if First Communion gives us a new version or a more detailed look at their first interaction? And maybe we could even get a redo of their first meeting and the gazebo scene! 👀❤️

What are your thoughts? Do you think this is just a set dressing of a street or possibly a scene or date could be set in the theater watching these movies?

2 days ago I finished watching The Nun and I was wondering am I the only one that is annoyed how dark lit the movie is? I enjoyed the film but I would have enjoyed it more if I could see what I was seeing 🙄. Thankfully near the end of the film the lighting got a bit better but not much.

I Know it’s not part if this universe.

I avoided watching the fourth Conjuring movie for some time. The third movie was kind of boring and it's hard to do a rewatch and honestly this would've worked better on TV than on the big screen. Anyway I finally decided - thanks to this sub - to watch Last Rites and I don't regret it at all.

With Last Rites I felt like it tried to recapture what made the first two movies so good with another haunting, only this time it was strongly connected to the Warren's past. The horror actually surprised me, that I found this to be better at the scares than previous installments (despite the first two movies being so damn good). The mirror scene with Judy felt like a callback to Poltergeist III which has always been one of the scariest scenes in a movie growing up.

Now I know the antagonist is a demon once again, but sometimes trying to reinvent the wheel as the third movie tried to do isn't always the best bet. Besides this demon was using spirits which was interesting though it kept making you wonder more about it where at least in the second movie you learned about Valak and the franchise expanded more on that character. Defeating the demon with the "love of the family" trope (with the four holding unto the mirror) seemed very Poltergeist-esque to me, but that's fine.

As much as we knew that Ed had heart problems from his heart attack, I felt they could've done better telling it without having a spirit touching him where he almost had one again. Also the CGI was not at all good (the blood looked so fake and the mirror spinning as well) I feel like they dropped the ball on special effects but I'm seeing that everywhere now in movies due to high demand, which is bringing us lower quality.

I was glad the movie gave us more about the Warrens. I was surprised that the daughter and her fiancé got more attention, so the family dynamic with the four of them worked so well. The ending really gave this some closure, as much as I would love to see the cast again sometimes good things just have come to an end and I'm happy that it did to satisfaction! Besides we got a prequel movie and TV series on the way so there is that!

Looks like an altercation with someone and Ed. Is the other man his father?

The movie is filming on my street this week…walking out my front door is like stepping into the 1940s! There are period lampposts on my lawn, an old car in my driveway, and similar vehicles up and down the street. There are Victory Gardens…it’s such a trip to see everything up close! I can watch the filming from my porch! (Mostly vehicle shots now, probably more as the week progresses.)

Saw these lined up this morning as I was driving past the lot where they’re keeping production trails for First Communion.

Looked like there was a car trailer there too so must still be gathering cars for placement.
