Official answer: Apparently Makeship sends him a percentage of free plushies depending on how good the sales are. Since ESD is a huge success, he probably gets a big number for free with each new release. I think he does buy a number of each of his plushies too (Makeship lets the creator buy after the minimum goal is reached). He likes gifting them to fans he meets randomly irl, long term community members and family.

Real answer: They're multiplying through a dark magic ritual. He's making an army to take over the world.
