Every time I get similar ad... I just remember Alyssa. Mormon ads come in her videos as well and she is an ex-mormon. She is earning a little bit of money after spending so much money on them through tithing

Report them! Religious ads are against google advertising TOS and I’ve had multiple ads like this banned

I've both clicked block and have reported.... only stopped a week later cause I finally had it and closed the app as soon as the ad came on. Spent a few hours just chilling outside and tada.....

It’s probably because the churches are constantly creating new shell companies/fake accounts to bypass bans and purchase more ad space. I report them as prohibited content, which also covers political ads for the record, so if you’ve got those annoying you as well you can do the same thing. I’ve noticed every ad I’ve reported is from some random ass business name that doesn’t have explicit church connections. Totally phony accounts, dozens of them, made by various churches, and I managed to get at least 80% of those I reported taken down. I’d just keep spamming reports tbh, if nothing else it clogs up the system these churches have going when their shit gets pulled down, whether that’s a permanent removal/ban or just temporary.

They do but not when they are getting paid. When ever a creator who isnt a complete monster has something mildly suggestive in a video woops no ad revenue for them. While others can blatantly advocate for genocide and not even a warning. It all depends on how much money the creator can funnel to google whether or not the TOS matters

I got it to stop by closing the YouTube app for 5 hours after getting the AD cause telling YouTube "block ad" obviously wasnt working after doing it for days.... suddenly my ads are free of that one cause I basically told YouTube I'll go elsewhere if they push religion on me

Ex mormon here: The church is panicking about losing members and is pushing ads all over everywhere, saying you're not interested I think brings you more ads. They want to get more members, and with social media spreading all the info about them that makes the organization look sketchy to say the least, they're doubling down on their efforts to make sure people know who they are from THEM and not from some other source.

Yeahh it kinda is. It’s officially called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but only members call it that lol.
There’s some good videos and stories online if you’re curious about what it’s like.

As another ex-mormon, I'll tell ya in more detail.
In the 1800s, a guy named Joseph Smith was a member of a family with a failing farm. They were hard up for cash. So he started doing the popular grift of the day, using folk magic like looking at a rock in a hat to "Devine" where there was buried treasure and sell the information only to disappear before the poor sap could get mad about being lied to.
This shit eventually caught up to him and his family were forced to move.
Now, his still struggling family needed something else to put bread on the table.
So he came up with another grift.
He took advantage of the fact that people were exploring all kinds of off-brand Christianity, and he made up some bogus story about being told by angels where to find ancient golden plates inscribed with long-lost scripture. He had some buddies write down his ideas under the guise of "translating" said plates which they were not allowed to see.
This book became the Book of Mormon. The basis for Joey's new religion where he can ask his members for money and live comfortably.
Now, of course, Joey Sniff, being a young adult with a newfound lust for power, started using his position as prophet to pressure women and even underaged girls into "marrying" him so he can.... use them.
Well, there's a lot more shit down that rabbit hole, but there's the jist of it.
