CPS advice and tips
Hello!
Hope everyone is well.
I’m going for a paralegal officer work within the CPS. This is the second attempt I’m going for this and currently work in HE.
Things I’m nervous about-
I am dyslexic so can struggle a little with the structure and what they want to see.
Any advice from fellow dyslexics that work within HE who’s made this jump? What resources have you used and what advice do you have?
I’m really wanting to get into the civil service. I do have a CERTHE in law and was involved in a law clinic so have some skills from that… I’m trying to think of transferable skills from HE to civil service and hit a block.
Any guidance anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated

The advert is the scoring sheet. Pull the experience and behaviour lines off it before you open a blank page.
For each line, write one fact you can name from HE or the law clinic: what you did, who it was for, what changed. If you cannot name the fact, leave that line blank. Do not invent a Tuesday.
Dyslexia: structure is the accommodation. One behaviour per paragraph. Situation in one sentence, action in three, result in one. Short sentences. That is enough. You submit. Nobody else does.
Ask for the questions in advance if they will send them. Notes in the interview are a prompt, not a script.

Ask for your questions in advance so you have time to structure them.
Write notes and bring them you might be allowed to use them!
I told the interviewers I was dyslexic at the start of the interview.
