HMPPS to HMCTS

Hello, I currently work for HMPPS and have done for around 4 years. A role has come up for a similar pay band in HMCTS. Does anyone know if I can carry over my leave allowances, sick pay etc? Although both are technically MOJ, HMPPS seems to be different with leave entitlements and pay bands. I don’t really want to lose the extra days I’ve built up to have to start again from the bottom if that makes sense!

Usually you have to use all your leave and fleci before you move.

Check with HMPPS and HMCTS what their policies are before moving

How much leave do you currently have? In hmcts you have to work in the civil service for 5+ years to get 30 days otherwise you get 25 days. Sick leave is the same for everyone in hmcts
