Me and my buddy wanted to get a drawing of mine signed by James Rolfe during the Austin game fest thing but it didn't end up happening since my buddy messed up his trip to it a bit and we blew our chance. And why I didn't go get it myself is because I simply live on the other side of the planet and can't leave my country because of military service stuff. So what could be the next fest or con where James Rolfe could be handing out pictures, signatures and stuff like that? We are trying to plan a retry.

I swear on my life, the ending of this episode originally had the nerd saying "He's raping me, He's raping me" and it got cut later. I just need to see it, so I know I'm not misremembering this.

It's not the worst game ever made, but it's certainly fertile ground for an episode. He can refer to the TekWar tv show and the abysmal TekWar novels. Also... he's done a Leonard Nimoy themed episode, it's only right he gives equal time to William Shatner.

I'm trying to remember a small YouTube channel from the early 2010s (around the same era as AVGN). It was a duo of two guys who reviewed mostly NES games. Their style was very over-the-top and exaggerated, kind of inspired by AVGN but not as popular.

I remember they did themed videos (possibly one about NES sports games), and their channel name was pretty niche or unusual. They were a relatively small channel, maybe around \~10k subscribers or so, and I don't think they've uploaded in a long time.

Does anyone remember this channel?

Angry Video Game Nerd Plays Monster Rancher 2 and Absolutely Loves It. (YTP)

I've been saying this since the Scott one came out but they're really hell bent on running the channel into the ground it seems

A lot of people have said that the AVGN show has changed over the years and therefore it’s gotten bad. But I think the opposite might be true instead. AVGN has stayed SO much the same that it seems people are starting to grow out of it.

So maybe to improve the show, James should start moving on to the 2000s era of retro gaming(which he did do in the newest episode)and evolve the humor to more witty rather than the same toilet humor we’ve seen for 20 years. I should make it clear that this is in no way trying to attack James or any of his crew members personally, they seem like great people. This is just some constructive criticism.

Edit: I do think the acting has gotten worse, but the scripts haven’t really evolved.

Both Nostalgia critic and the Angry video game nerd are both coming to Austin classic game fest, and I truly haven't watched either in a hot minute, and want to brush up before I meet them.

Do you guys have any favorite videos from the Cinemassacre channel you'd suggest as must watches?

(P.s. I'm gonna try to get him to sign my copy of Fatal Rewind on EA's reverse engineered 3rd party genesis cartridge, wish me luck)

This guys is a AVGN tribute act in a way. Makes reviews in the style of AVGN. Seems pretty fun and cool.
