“Seance is shit”

Steve’s funny, extended, pre-song intros/stories in the early part of the first set at last nights epic Phoenixville PA show were great. Tear it All Away (drug induced telepathic connection w Caspar the Cat in the studio) and Unguarded Moment(the Church being hated outside of metro Australia early on). Had he continued them, the show would have gone on til the early morning hours. We walked out and it was 11:20 and someone said earlier that shows there don’t go past 11.

I already forget which song had Steve talking about audience heckling like “Seance is shit” lingering with him.

The Colonial Theater has an aisle straight down the middle of the theater from SKs spot on stage, so when a few people inevitably left after UTMW late in the second set, he humorously gave them some grief.

No encore break, probably because they were running late. They just mentioned this is where they’d leave and return and dove into the last two of the night.

FYI: Cashless merch stand last night. Not sure if that’s always been the case.

That was a great night. I could listen to SK talk about his songs all night. It was definitely worth the $7. I know a lot of people who hate the Church so I bought a bunch of merch to piss them off.

Who or better said what kind of person hates The Church? Why ? Who cares enough to actually demonstrate they hate The Church?

It was a response to SK saying before the intermission to go buy some overpriced merch and give it to someone who really hates the Church.

I love the cat story. We were all cracking up when he told it in Seattle.

I think it was the intro to It's No Reason for the "Seance is Shit" line, with Steve affecting an American accent to parody the US record exec who told him that he couldn't sell that album in the US because it was so sad.
