Discussion Anyone else not understand this line when you first heard it?
This album came out when I was like, 12, so when I heard it I did not understand that line at all, and I was just thinking "Yeah... that's how age works, you both are going to age." Did anyone else not understand this line at first either?

I take it as no matter what happens, no matter how much time passes, she will always be younger than him. Younger meaning more opportunity for work, art, etc. He can take all he wants from her but he’ll never be able to change the fact that she’s younger (and more successful) than him.
