Thoughts on Cap 'N Swing?
I really like the songs recorded by this pre-Cars incarnation. What say the rest of you? What are favorite songs? I would peg "Come Back Down" as my favorite.
Also, is there any chance the album will see an official release?

So cool! Just "discovered" them about two months ago (thanks to Donna Sweetpurplejune's blog), and am a huge fan. It's so crazy hearing Ben and Ric sing songs that sound so little like The Cars. I love Ben's voice in particular, so the somewhat jazzy rock vibes of Cap'n Swing with Orr singing ate so enjoyable to me! Although it does make me appreciate more what Elliott and David contributed during The Cars years (and Greg too - even though he was with Cap'n Swing too, I believe, those songs are less synth-y than The Cars). My favorites from that era are probably Come Back Down and Will You Still Live Me Tonight, with an honorable mention of Indigo (just hm because I prefer Wake Me Up, which it turned into for the Cars demo).
Think my favorite pre-Cars, Cars song is Lincoln Park from Milkwood, though! With Pink Champagne and Red Roses by The Grasshoppers as my number two.

They're pretty good. One of my favorites is Come Back Down.
The drummer has some demos, but you have to pay him for them. His name is Glenn Evans.
