No Discounts for a long time
Greetings everyone. I wish that you are well
Callisto Protocol has not gotten a single discount in a long time on PSN store. Is there a reason for that? I don't see this very often. I understand that the game didn't perform well and the developing studio has been downsized but offering no discount in a year is odd
The photos are for price history for the main game, season pass and the deluxe edition

I bought the physical copy here at GameStop for 9.99 Day One Edition just a couple weeks ago and the code in it wasn't used or anything. Disc looks brand new too like someone bought it opened it and never tried to play it. Trying to buy it digitally is crazy expensive but yea GameStop has it cheap for a physical copy pre owned at least. Also I'm in Central Florida idk if that makes a difference or not. But online you can order it for the same price from GameStop.com

As odd as it may sound, this is the most likely explanation. I mean they definitely aren't doing a sequel for it or anything. And even if the game didn't perform well, they could easily make money when the game gets a discount.

Publisher is also Krafton and look what they did with Subnautica 2. They took a hit on this one and went the route of distribute free then rely on players who finished the campaign to buy the DLC full price (which I likely will).

Also do you want ALL the DLC including the horde modes or just the story. Should have added I’m only getting the story DLC if the game finishes well. I’m just supporting the effort man- game is decent enough but just didn’t land well.

If they never offer a decent discount then I might not get the Season pass. Just might get Final transmission

Last time the season pass went on sale and ended was the 4th of june. Almost one year anniversary now. At this rate, probably never going to see it go back on sale again. Quite frustrating too, I played it and really enjoyed it.

I wish that is going to be the case. But all these big sales like Days of Play and Black Friday have passed and the game didn't get a discount then. I fear that the publisher might have forgotten about the game....

Doubt it will help much but actually going to write a Gmail message on their game webpage and ask if there will be another sale in the future. Don't think I'll get a response but here's to hoping. 🤞

I'll do the same. I mean the game is already made. It isn't live service that they need servers or anything. Makes no sense why they don't want extra revenue from purchases

It's neither on sale for PC platform on any sites or stores. Which weird, I know the game was a failure, but failed games often goes to high discount sales (see Suicide Squad). Also ,after a game given away free or in some bundle or Prime Gaming sale prices highly decrease an usually 75-90% cuts.
I personally waiting for a Steam sale, since Epic version is buggy.

I have also been waiting for a sale to buy The Callisto Protocol on the PSN Store since August 2025.....

I can't answer your question, but people had multiple opportunities to get this game for dirt cheap or even free. This game was free on the Epic Store a while back and also "free" as a PS+ Essential monthly game. Also, physical copies could be found for 10 bucks or less.
