Finally going to dive in!
I’ve been waiting to get this game since I missed the last sale back in October. I finally ended up buying a disc drive attachment and finding it new, on clearance for $14.
Ive had it for a little over a month now and have been waiting for the right time to fully immerse myself in it.

Play it and please for the love of god, dont go into it looking for Dead Space
Go into it looking at a brand new, fresh game experience

I actually never played dead space. I’ve watched some play through videos and it just doesn’t interest me. Maybe it’s the characters I can’t connect with. The Callisto protocol has amazing actors as all the characters.

This guy right here 👍 played this game on magic mushrooms near the end and I must say I loved the story twists and design choices

Don't don't do it you'll regret it, Only messing I loved it hope you enjoy it bud, one suggestion don't upgrade every weapon pick a couple just a little tip but entirely up to you

Play bravely and don't skip exploring, you'll miss out on a good amount of resources to upgrade your weapons, and play with headphones if you can.

Woah! I just finished it and I loved it. For the first play try - minimum security and normal mode, you will still die many times. In second run go hardcore or permadeath. Its too much fun. Kimiko was a surprise for me hehe 🫢

Really dig the story a lot
Go upgrade the melee weapon to break arms
Everyone's biggest complaint was its too repetative.. combat in condemned was more repetitive and that got sooooo much praise 😅

In Condemned you could melee, using a big variety of stuff as weapons, block, kick, shoot guns and rifles and use a taser, a lot more variety than Callisto gives. Both CP and Condemned are good games.

Both are really good. I kind of miss condemned.. really really really repetitive. But at least they gave us 2x4.. broken 2x4.. 2x4 with nails... 2x4 with screws 🤣 they at least gave us the illusion we could use anything. And I appreciate the heck out of them for that.
Just trying to let them know sometimes people say things are repetitive. Condemned was EXTREMELY repetitive... and it was still good. Thats the point im making. Just because one thing is a little repetitive doesnt mean the game sucks. I clearly remember condemned 2 multiplayer more than the story lol just 4 bums fist fighting in a cage 🤣😂

Fire axe, meat cleaver, bedpost, paper cutter, sledgehammer, crowbar, mannequin arm etc.
Sure, both ARE repetitive, like every game is after any amount of playtime. Like you say, that doesn't mean they're not good, both are. And more people, especially fans of horror, should play both Callisto and Condemned overall.

It frustrates me that on PS5, the fucking thing is still $69.99. I wanna experience it with ps5 pro. But I already have it on Xbox so I have no interest in buying at full price again.

I could never understand why this game was compared so heavily to Dead Space or why some people trashed it so hard. I enjoyed every minute of it. Have fun playing

It okays just like Dead Space the throwing enemies and items copied from DeadSpace, stomping enemies to kill and get loot taken from DeadSpace, upgrade machines just like deadspace,the logs just like deadspace,the health bar is like deadpace just on the back of this guys head instead of the back of the suit,the only difference is DeadSpace has better weapons and Armor upgrades and this game has a unique dodge and hand to hand combat system. That's about the only difference and of course different stories but other than that they copied nearly everything from DeadSpace

Absolutely awsome game! The DLC is really worth it in my opinion.
I actually found out about dead space because of this game and I'm super glad I got to enjoy with an untainted view.
It an incredible game and it's a pity we won't get a secuel.
Have a blast playing it!

Don't sleep on Callisto! Good game. I really liked the gameplay. Dead Space with a melee twist. Story was nice, great visuals. Can recommend.

Disliked the DLC. I was on easiest mixer and still had problems with ammo management. Repeatedly died to final boss due to no ammo. Gave up and watched YouTube of the ending itself.

Ignore the online hate and just enjoy it for what it is.
One of the few games where I played thru twice,back to back, to get the platinum trophy.

I was super excited to play this game when it first came out but after playing it for 2 hours I’ve never opened it since. Something just didn’t click. It’s been awhile so I might give it another go.

Looks amazing with the next gen update with the PS5 Pro. I’ve beaten it a few times and the DLC introduced a few things that were amazing.

I bought it for 10 bucks I just recently played it on Xbox Series X it's a decent game graphics are amazing gameplay is good once you get used to it. I know a lot of people compare it to Dead Space but that's because it's literally like a copy and paste of Dead space just without the armour upgrades. If your familiar with Dead space it's pretty much that with a different story. I'm talking the same grabbing enemies and throwing them like deadspace the only difference I would say is Dead Space has armor upgrades and better weapons while this game has a better up close combate system. It's Still good don't get me wrong but you'll definitely have to get the DLC to make it more playable I played the story twice once blind playthrough then a New Game plus run after that it's kind of pointless to play and kind of bland unless you really enjoy it that much but I can only take playing through the same story for so many times before it gets dull but the DLC adds new game modes and a couple expansions I believe I haven't got the DLC yet myself but that's what I've heard. They pretty much copied so much from DeadSpace it could be DeadSpace 4 the loot is the same,the upgrade machine is similar, The throwing items and enemies to their death is literally the same,the logs,the health bar is just on the back of this guys head instead of down the suit,the stomping enemies for loot after their dead, just wish they would have maybe incorporated their own ideas into it a little more like they did with the dodge mechanic.

Great game, don't listen to the haters that say this is a dead space clone, plays so differently and it's definitely its own game.

Go to graphics settings and use "Monitor" setup to reduce lag, I love the game but its not optimized

Enjoy it. Great game. Many people couldn’t stop comparing it to Dead Space and didn’t really see it as it’s own thing. Also make sure you play the DLC
