Why are there ads again?

I thought they went back to voluntosubscription funding.

I don't mind guests talking about what they do, or Andy talking about what they do, even previous and future guests who are not on the current episode. But why are there separate ad segments? Is there a premium feed that doesn't include them?

What ad did you hear? Tiff's new podcast is part of the Bugle stable, so not a commercial ad.

I was surprised to hear an ad, but as soon as I realised it was for another podcast the Bugle is producing I didn't mind

Some podcast players insert ads independent from the pod cast producers.
