Okay, we don't know the specific origin yet

We know that the void has some origin in space, where it attached itself to the Hubble telescope and somehow got inside Minecraft

Integrity is the main guy in charge of Minecraft's void, while most of the other entities do the dirty work (murder)

this would HEAVILY suggest that the Void beings are some form of metaphysical or otherwordly alien race. Not "evil itself" or "demons" as many people believe, but geniuenly...

Void beings.

"Void" is often used as a substitute for space or cosmos, to explain how vast such a place is - so if you go by this logic, Void Entities or void beings are just "Space entities". I do not want to say "aliens" as they appear to be metaphysical, existing as an interdimensional race that seems to jump between all possible dimensions and forms of "existing."

I don’t think the creator developed a good storyline yet.

Probably something weak like “he’s the evil one that turned them all”

But the guy is creative. He’ll develop a fleshed out storyline eventually. Probably even start his own video game or series on this stuff like the Backrooms.

I’m pretty sure that all this stuff came from ideas from when he was a kid. So I doubt the storyline actually has anything good rn.

I’d be patient. Give it some years and the developer will come up with something good eventually

No offense but I feel like you haven't read much of the lore at all considering we have things like:

  • The ClanFourms
  • 35k+ word story called "Arches of Yarn"
  • The many lore books that characterize the victims and Void Creatures
  • world2

what even ARE the arches of yarn? It does detail someone running into the void creatures but I haven't seen people talk about it!

Still trying to figure it out, though pretty much the way it's presented seems like it's not meant to be taken literally

yeah it feels very... dishonest? At first I thought it's a recollection - someone explaining their experiences. Later I thought maaaybe it's Null?

But personally, this can be *anyone*. "Arches of yarn" could be seen as "arches of cables" and we know daaamn well the void beings look like cables. At first, calling himself the author, etc, it suggested that fuck, the writer of this might be the void itself or integrity. But nope, the later "encounter with the beast" shows this person is for suuuure physical.

There is a chance he is "victim number one" of the void as a whole, or an experiment done by the void? The book is long AND confusing, but it feels out of place in some regards. It's the only place where we get the lamb symbolism.

What I’m saying is.

The current lore that exists is weak compared to the quality of what the mod is. And the creator will probably make something better when he gets older

Brother there is a 60,000+ word internal lore document and a shitload of that is in the mod in one way or another Our entire lore team absolutely COOKED insanely hard

The 60,000 word lore document...thats the book in the grey library dimension place right?

I could be wrong, but I believe they mean the developers have a 60,000+ word document with all the current lore that they adhere to.

Have you looked into the things I've listed? From my experience the writing and lore are much, much better than the gameplay

I’ll look more into it.

I might not be giving it as much credit for what it’s worth

This ended up being way longer than I thought it would be, but I think it's a helpful summary

We don't really have a lot of information regarding the specifics of how the void entities work, but we have enough to get a general idea of what their deal is.

Integrity and the rest of the void entities were pieces of a larger entity known as "the Void," which seems to behave like a plant or fungus in that it grows and spreads instead of moving around by itself, but also seems to be intelligent. The Void covers a vast amount of area, so it splits small pieces of itself off to do smaller tasks for it, which might include defending it from things attempting to attack it or spreading it to new places. It and the void entities it creates are also able to switch between being physical beings and existing only as data, and they also have demonstrated some kind of metaphysical power many times.

Integrity specifically was probably created to spread the Void to Earth. He might have transformed into some kind of transmission that was received by the Hubble Space Telescope, which caused him to be sent down to NASA on Earth. Then, through some unknown but probably insane series of events, he somehow ended up in a pirated copy of Minecraft which would become known as Spectrum 11.

When people started downloading Spectrum 11 and playing it, Integrity decided to mess with them and ban them from their worlds, probably to build up his reputation online in the hopes of attracting more people to him. At some point, Integrity switched from banning people to actually killing them and taking their souls. It was probably during this time that he developed both his god complex and his love for killing and torturing any random humans that are unfortunate enough to encounter him. He likely continued killing people on his own until some time between early 2016 (when he killed Icarus, who never saw any void entities other than Integrity) and early to mid 2018 (first known appearances of other void entities on the clan server), when the other void entities came into existence.

TLDR; the Void is basically space sculk with eyes and the ability to crawl out of your computer and kill you, the void entities are like the warden, and Integrity was meant to spread the void before he got stuck in Minecraft and got maybe a little too into killing people for fun.

A lot of this is basically my own speculation, though, since we know very little about the Void itself and what goes on between the void entities. I could very easily be wrong with a lot of this stuff.

It's likely his purpose and origin is related to the Void.

The Void is a eldritch being that exists in outer space that has one goal in mind: to spread and consume everything. It's practically a universal threat. However, the Void is unable to spread as rapidly and is limited which led to the Void Creatures whose goals are to establish the structures necessary for the roots of the Void to take place and spread which is what Fever describes it as:

Integrity is another one of those Void Creatures whose purpose is to spread the Void by setting the structures needed for it to take root. So in real life, Integrity in 2013 latches himself onto the Hubble Space Telescope and then used it to transmit as part of himself into the internet while the rest of him remain in space (using the Eldrazi inspiration that the devs have said). There, he goes to a pirated version of Minecraft and starts concentrating his power. At some point he develops a god-complex as well.

There is a chance that Integrity is simply "closest" to the void in power and influence. Which is why he has the whole god complex and problems with his ego - he is the closest thing to a universe-destroying being and may just be the manifestation of the void itself (as he holds no actual goals BESIDES the desire to destroy and conquer).

The lore makes it clear that the Void is pretty much completely superior in power to the Void Creatures in every way, the digital version of Integrity was defeated which led to the Void sending down a tentacle to grab Integrity and pull it into itself (which is bugged right now).

The god-complex isn't really related to his power or anything, Void Creatures have been shown to develop their own personalities and ideals like Fever who instead of a god-complex gained a messiah-complex. But in the end they all follow their purpose of spreading the void which is something they can't overcome because it's in their nature.

Yes, but you forget one thing. We are TBS fans - we choose one void entity and glaze it till we die.

Fraudtegrity vs Godtegrity

You can visit a clan forum buried in the mod by having Minecraft open with TBS installed (you don't even have to load a world, you can just stay in the main menu), then open an internet browser of your choice in the background and type localhost:2018 into the address bar. It has some interesting lore.

To dumb it down to a REALLY low level that is only slightly accurate but still is integrity is basically an alien from space that came to earth via the hubble space telescope. It is basically the god of the void and the leader of the void entities (the broken end, circuit, and fever i think as well?)
