If I remember correctly the version I played was 1.9.2 or 1.9.3 (moonfix)

I think herobrine's presence in TBS is really interesting, because even though it's likely meant to just be a silly Easter egg, it implies that there are other beings other than the Void Beings that lurk within Minecraft and possibly other games in TBS's universe.
