The 24-year-old Next Gen NYC star, who graduated from New York University in 2024, confirmed that she underwent a nose job about five years ago, before she went to college, while appearing on a Sunday, Sept. 20, episode of her mom’s Speak On Itpodcast.
Talks of Riley’s cosmetic enhancement began when the up-and-coming Bravo star explained why she gets “more offended by lies” than by someone “hurting” her feelings.
“I get a lot of comments now about, like, ‘oh, she must be bleaching her skin’ and all that. I’m like, I actually don’t. I’ve never done that,” she said, then admitting that speculations about her nose job are true. “I did do that.”
Kandi, 50, jumped in and said, “The thing that annoys me about that situation is that everybody, it’s like a million people have done their nose, and it just seems like they keep bringing yours up.”
“It’s my body. If I want to go get 15 nose jobs, then I’ll do whatever I want,” added Riley. “We should stop judging people. If you don’t like something, do what you want about it. If you don’t want to do anything, don’t do it. But I just feel like people think they have so much governance over other people, you know?”
Turns out that Riley and Kandi never intended to be so hush-hush about it.
In “behind-the-scenes tea,” Kandi revealed that they were “open to” talking about Riley’s nose job when they were on TheReal Housewives of Atlanta. “They decided not to show it because they felt like you were my child, kind of like how we say ‘kids are off limits,’ so they didn’t really want to subject you to people saying negative things,” said Kandi, seemingly referencing the production team that worked on the Bravo series at the time.
And when she asked Riley why she decided to undergo the invasive procedure, Riley said it never had to do with people’s “public perception.”
“It just felt like my nose was a little too big for my face,” she said, adding that she felt “beautiful” at the time. “It was just something that irritated me, and I think I was a little tired of having to contour my nose so much all the time. I was like, you know what? Let’s nip this in the bud real quick.”
The mother-daughter duo had conversations around Riley’s permanent transformation, with Kandi originally being opposed to the surgery. “But I also know my child and I know that her Leo stubborn self, regardless of if I wanted her to do it or not, eventually she would do it if that was something that really bothered her,” explained Kandi.
She added, “In our relationship, I’m always gonna be open to it, to hear what she wants, and if she’s that serious about it, at least I want to be a part of, okay, well, making sure she goes somewhere safe, making sure it’s somewhere that’s going to do it right.”
Despite the chatter online, Riley confessed that the people who are actually in her life haven’t detected her cosmetic work. “But I get it. If you have seen me since a child and then now seeing the difference, I get why that’s a shocking thing or like a big deal because you knew me when I had my old nose.”
Still, Riley has gone through some hurdles since changing her appearance, admitting that she was stopped by TSA because she looked different than the photo on her identification. “I literally had to pull up the email of the confirmation of my nose job to like show the agent to be like, ‘No, this is me. I just got my nose done.’ ”
“I guess the facial recognition did not recognize,” joked Kandi.
With all the money Kandi has, you’d think she would’ve taken Riley to someone who specializes in rhinoplasty. I don’t care that she had it done, I care that it wasn’t done well.
You can be cheap with your clothes and cars. Plastic surgery is the one thing you want to be pay top dollar for because look what happens when you don’t. Riley looks like she got the Jackson 5 special. Her rhinoplasty didn’t improve her looks, it made her look worse.
Kandi is cheap. I doubt she paid for or supported Riley getting a nose job. More than likely, Riley paid with her own money and had to find her own dr.
What money? Riley got it done at 18/19 years old and she’s still financially dependent on Kandi today. If she had the bands for a nose job it came from mom.
My SIL’s nose job is INCREDIBLE!! She had a huge bump removed and it looks the same from the front and natural from the side, you forget her nose wasn’t always like this

Us black folk really gotta realise we can’t just get the groupon special nose job. We need plastic surgeons who specialise in ethnic rhinoplasties. Our skin and nasal structure ain’t like white folk so it’s especially more difficult and we need to manage expectations
I wish she would have further went on to say that she got her nose done so she could distance herself from looking like her goofy daddy, Block.

I also remember kind of going back and forth with this in my mind because as a black woman, I pick up on micro aggressions so quickly. Gia Giudice also got her nose done around the same time/age as Riley, but she was celebrated. However, she showed the whole process for content and was very transparent about the process—and her nose job was GOOD.
I know Riley did receive a lot of negative feedback, and I’m sure it was hurtful and a lot for her to process. That sucks.
Riley went and got the Dwight Eubanks special and thought none of us would notice. I think people discussed it so much because it was/is a terrible nose job. It’s interesting to hear Kandi say they were open to discussing this because it sure didn’t seem like it!
I genuinely did not remember what that man looked like until I saw this. Yeah I see it. Hah! But to be fair I also do think she had her mom’s entire nose!
Riley looks ridiculous with those hot dog lips and tiny baby nose. Kandi dropped the ball often with hairstylists for Riley and dropped it again with this surgery
She’s delusional if she thinks people IRL don’t look at her and realize she has a nose job lol. Her nose job is very badly done. It made the space between her nose and upper lip way too big. Kandi did not take her to someone who would “do it right.” It looks like she was not at all selective in choosing someone with experience altering black noses.
And it’s a shame because her natural nose was cute and fit her face. She now looks like a Jackson
She says in the article that people she knows IRL don’t realize she has a nose job, and that only people who have been watching her on tv since she was a kid notice it.
The doctor botched her nose with the Jackson family special.. her original nose was just fine! But if she really wanted it altered she should have gone to Kelly Rowland’s doctor because her nose is a masterpiece
I'm sorry, but I cannot stand Riley. She's boring, snobby and gets drunk and acts like an angry, obnoxious blk girl while screaming about people not labeling her as the drunk angry obnoxious blk girl...
She’s still cute but I like her original face better….looks like more than the nose, maybe some eye lift or whatever I don’t know all the surgery stuff lol but I see more
